Oftentimes when we feel hurt we isolate ourselves. We become distanced; whereas it's my estimation that what we really want, at times like these, is to have the wound dressed. That's the theme. Kaylee, from "The Message", withdrawn in her own sanctuary, with Simon walking that corridor towards her, finally deciding not to approach her, not really knowing what to say, respecting her 'closed door'. But what she really wants, is for that door to be open. It's not that she don't wanna hear from him: she want to hear the RIGHT thing from him. Hearing the wrong thing from him is, after all, what caused the hurt.
