APOLOGIES FOR THE DELAY IN SECRETS

Okay, let's try this again. I did just write this but it disappeared, so if it doubles up, sorry!

I was just apologising for the slow progress of SECRETS. I lost my Mum a few weeks ago and while writing is my therapy I also have to work, sell a house, clear out a load of stuff, and find somewhere to live.

I will try and get a chapter or two out during the summer, but realistically, as I'm also still writing by Castle hiatus story, it's more likely to be September before I can get back to SECRETS properly.

Hi, I'm Jane (no 'y'). I'm a tall, luscious brunette with hazel eyes, a winning smile and a great personality (or so I'm told). I'm an avid fan of Firefly/Serenity, Nathan Fillion in particular, and lots of other stuff in general, including film, tv, books, travel etc. I spend a lot of time writing, be it stories, poems or books, as well as fan fiction which used to be strictly for my own consumption but now appears here ... and I welcome feedback!

In July 2006 I met my crush, Mr Fillion, for the first time, and all I have to say is that if everyone was as nice as him, this would be a whole lot better 'verse to live in!
I came to Firefly late, in as much as I knew nothing about it until I saw a trailer for Serenity at my local cinema, and thought 'ooh, that looks good'. I read a couple of articles, realised the Joss Whedon connection, and bought the box set so that I could see what had been before I saw the film.

And that was it. Hooked. Lined and sinkered, too.

I still am. I still write fanfic, but life tends to get in the way, so whereas I used to manage a chapter a day it can now be more like a chapter a month, but that doesn't mean my love has lessened. I have so many stories still in my head that I will eventually get out into the light of day, let alone all the stories I know Joss had in mind that we may never get to see.

You notice I said 'may'. I still hold out a hope that there will be more, perhaps set some dozen years down the line, even if it's only a miniseries. Something happens, and someone has to get the now spread out crew of Serenity together again to fight a war, or perhaps to stop one happening. Maybe it's River, or her voice from the grave, calling her friends from the lives they made ... only ... (major twist - so no spoilers!)

So this is me, living, writing, hoping ... and if anyone takes up the idea I've just proposed, at least acknowledge me! Or I might just write it myself ...
