Malcolm Reynolds is my evil twin. That's not to say that I'm much better. But I refer to him as such because he's a rebel, a smuggler and a thief, which are qualities that I neither have nor want. I'm also hopelessly besotted with River. But the differences end thus, for I always seem to win Best Mal Lookalike whenever there's a showing of costumes. We've both lost our belief in a once-important part of our lives - for Mal it was God, for me it was love. Like Mal, I'd be a terrible husband; like me, he leans towards womenfolk, just one thing at a time. Like him, I haul cargo; like me, he's inordinately fond of that which he uses to haul cargo. Like him, I'll take any job that pays well enough to keep moving; like me, he puts that job first and foremost. Like him, if I suddenly found out that I was married, I'd freak; like me, it takes more than a few drinks to render his judgment blurry. Like him, I'll lay a man out to defend a lady's honour; like me, he'll tell that same lady when he doesn't approve of her conduct. Like him, I'm extremely protective and devoted to my friends; like me, he's something of a mystery. Like him, I scrape and scrimp and struggle just to get from one day to the next; like me, he's a mean old man. Like him, whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger; like me, his driving force is whatever keeps him flying. Like him, I'm willing to die for what I believe; like me, he knows he'll die alone.

And to top it off, I finally got hold of some tight pants! :D
