I'M MOSTLY BACK

Thursday, April 3, 2008 2:03:52 AM

So, my last post was a horrifically long time ago...I greatly misjudged how long it would take to recover from my accident, and once I was no longer completely bedridden, how long it would take to regain mental clarity from all the drugs I was on. And so here I am, only today posting the final chapter to Crew, But Not. My life is back to a reasonable semblance of normality, though I still have a long road to complete healing. I'm not sure if I will be writing more fanfic in the near future...we'll see how the wind blows. Whatever happens, I hope never to have such a long wait forced on my readers!

Biography
I'm a Browncoat from the Pacific Northwest USA, on my way to a teaching degree after growing up with six younger siblings (one of whom is as close to me as River was to Simon—who I would undoubtedly be if reincarnated as a male in the Firefly 'verse). I am hopelessly devoted to British literature and history, and if I have any time left after reading and writing, you'll find me in the garden or the kitchen. I live in a couple other fandoms as well was the Firefly one: The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, and the Royal Navy set (Horatio Hornblower, Master and Commander, and Pirates of the Caribbean). I came to Firefly through the movie when it first came out, but fell headfirst into the world, and especially its fanfiction. I read mostly gen, preferring continuations of the series or stories focussing on one or both of the Tams. Silee is the only ship I read with pleasure, and I find slash and CSI too disturbing for words.
