Mal and Zoe hone their Big Damn Hero skills saving each other in the war. This is a three-part story inspired by the line in War Stories. It was originally going to be part of my extraordinarily long POW story The Losing Side (as a flashback), but in an effort to focus that tale a little bit I decided to take it out and post it seperately. It only ties into TLS in a very limited way - this was originally going to be a story Mal told Wash, but it didn't work too well that way. It does explain why Mal had that nerve cluster moved in his back, too.

Ok so the text I came up with myself and boy was it tricky. I wrote two verses and I wasn't happy with the lines but then just as a goof thought I alternated first and second verse lines and I think its rather schnazzy now. Overall, I am very very pleased with how this turned out, especially with the images of Inara - The image of Mal gave me one hell of a time, but I think it turned out ok. No text version can be posted if desired, just let me know. Anyway, comments are always awesome.

This is an episode I wrote based in the Firefly verse. Different character's ('cept for Mal, who only makes a small cameo near the end...I couldn't resist). It's in screenplay format, hope it transfers okay. I was trying to further explore the idea of the "Space Western" and realized that prospector's and gold fever were an angle that didn't get to be played with in the series. FYI it's exactly as long as an hour long episode, which is something I'm really proud of so I thought I'd mention. Enjoy!
