So when I want to listen to something I have lots to choose from. 6ixStringJack: Haha! Nice. I don't even know where the plate idea came from. Just popped into my head when I was thinking what we could do to slide stuff over since you didn't have those furniture slides. I was just kind of going through my own head what I've got in my house that wasn't a tool and that most other people would have that would work. It was plates and magazines, and I figured the magazines would probably get shredded up even though they'd get the job done.

| 6ixStringJack: I probably should listen to more music instead of having YouTube up in the background all the time while I'm doing project work. I used to have a huge music collection but I'd lost that somewhere along the way, and trying to "listen" to music on YouTube is frustrating because they constantly pause videos or stop playing in between to check if you're still watching. My friends have been pretty busy this year, especially the one who's dad died and who knows a lot of stuff and doesn't get bogged down thinking like I do. Brenda: Ah, you go for perfection and I get frustrated.  It's like listening to music when I write on the computer. I have to have it on to help my brain work. The poet helping me can't stand anything on that might disturb her. But everyone is different.

Brenda: That is exactly right for writing at least for me. I got the whole first part they way I wanted it. But then the ending was bothering me. Once I had that worked like I said I just wrote basically backwards and adjusted the two pieces until they fit.

6ixStringJack: The hardest part, at least for me, is when you're going back and doing the middle stuff and you start to realize that you've got something really good going on there, but it's going to require dumping most of the ending stuff that you were so sure of just a day or two before. Sometimes I fall into a "Perfection Loop" and nothing notable gets done because I'm paralyzed that any work I do either way will end up being wasted.

Brenda: Yeah, I am. I am working a second book and maybe now I will be able to get middle chapters done. My first one I had to write it about half way then start from the final chapter and meet in the middle. Think this one will go the same way.

Brenda: There's no room in the bedroom for the nightstand with the record player which is on top of it. Also a few other miscellaneous items on top of it and inside it. Like I said a workman moved it closer to my trunk but between my trunk and the night stand are my records, which aren't damaged but I don't want them damaged. I also have an old wood table that I use in the bedroom for my clock, radio and old lamp. This lamp is so not PC it isn't funny. Something like it couldn't be made today. It is a jinn, a male genie. A black man in dressed in red pants, turban, vest and pointed shoes. He is also carrying a scimitar. I love the thing but not everyone does. My dad won it.

6ixStringJack: What do you mean by Victrola? Do you just mean a smallish record player on top of the night stand in the living room? My grandma had a full sized Victrola, so I'm sure that's not what you mean.

If the "victrola" isn't top heavy, still shouldn't be too much of a problem. Try those furniture pad sliders this time. Brenda: And again the nightstand has stuff on it. Namely my Victrola and I don't want to move. Yeah, I know a running theme. That's why I bought the sliders. I am hoping when I get to moving that stand the sliders will do. Would have to get some cardboard and I will keep all of this in mind.

| Brenda: That is my plan for today SIX. I measure the space and it is only about 5 inches now, so I should be able to find something and another pillow at least. Then I should be settled with that. It does feel good because that was really starting to hurt me. The night stand isn't such a rush though. So, I'm good with that. 6ixStringJack: Now I hope you got yourself some good pillows and back support and you should be good to go. I'm glad the picture made enough sense of it. I was visualizing the process in my head, but I wasn't putting it to words the right way and I kind of knew I wasn't getting the point across right. I think the first picture I put up would have been just as confusing, but looks like we're good now. Gotta feel good having that done finally.

Brenda: I figured it was get them while they were in front of me. The sliders I mean. Also I have been doing things like this for a long time on my own. It just gets tiring at times. I am getting old here. With the night stand I'm not worried about the carpet but I don't want to damage it. I've got neighbours upstairs that for a week, I swear were constantly dragging chairs all over the floor. I figure they must have had the carpet removed. 6ixStringJack: Good that you picked up those sliders. You won't use them much probably, but when you need them they're really nice to have. I've got them in my house to protect the hardwood floors if I want to move something myself. Part of the reason I needed to restore those was the previous owners just dragged everything and gouged the floors and covered it all with carpet.

Brenda: Unfortunately the night stand doesn't have legs. Oh, I find furniture sliders after I get the bed moved. Isn't that always the way. I went into one of those little stores that sell everything but the kitchen sink and found them. I bought them incase I have to do something like again or for the night stand.

6ixStringJack: The plate thing should work for you on the night stand too. But if it's one of those that doesn't have legs it may slide off the plates a few times while you're pushing it so you might have to put the plates under there a few times, but you'll get 'er there eventually. Glad to hear you finally got the bed where you wanted it.

| Brenda: Hey, SIX. I got the bed moved today. I used your plastic plate trick. Could only get them under 3 wheels but it worked. Now to find something to stick in the space and I'll be all set. Box spring is slightly out of place but I'm not worried about that right now. So one problem solved. The next is moving a night stand that got shoved out of its spot.
