Brenda: Don't recognize the name Garret Dillahunt course that doesn't mean I haven't seen him in something. That happened on Babylon 5 with a British actor called John Vickery. 6ixStringJack: The one time I remember that happening was on Deadwood when they brought Garret Dillahunt back a few seasons after he died as a completely different character. I don't think I even realized it the first time I watched that it was the same actor since it was a few years later and the 2 characters were so different. I never watched the movie, but he was in there too as a 3rd character.

I seem to remember a really cute young woman from the UK soaps was in there for a while, so it wasn't just Carlyle. I didn't watch Trainspotting when it first came out because it sounded so depressing. And at that time depression wasn't dragging me down. 6ixStringJack: I almost have the same warning about Once Upon a Time too, but I do think that there's at least a much higher chance of you enjoying at least the first few seasons of that than of Trainspotting. But I was a drunk when I was watching that show, so who knows? People seemed to really like it when it was current news, but that was probably around 10 years ago when it started so maybe it's already dated? Don't know.

6ixStringJack: It's hard to judge by reviews. I'm sure it was pretty "cutting edge" for its time, but that was a long time ago. Lots of moral outrage over stuff like this that pushed the envelope, back when Bill Clinton was President and in between Bushes. It could be decent. I don't remember. 6ixStringJack: Oh.... I'm sure Trainspotting was about depression too. Saw it almost 30 years ago now, so it's hard to remember. It was also VERY British, on a Tube TV from a VHS too. No subtitles. I probably missed quite a bit. The one scene I do remember is one of the guys trying to get drugs out of a toilet and suddenly he dives into the toilet or something. Weird. I dunno. 6ixStringJack: I can't remember what happened or why, but a lot of good and bad fairy tale characters ended up here. But if memory serves, they're all pretty much magically sealed off from us so they don't do much of any interacting with our world other than trap the main character and her son in with them... or something like that. Carlyle plays Rumplestiltskin, who's one of the baddies. He may or may not have some redemption arc. I don't remember much now and I didn't finish it anyway. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 07.30 11:58

I think it's another one of those shows that just went on way too long though. 6ixStringJack: I wouldn't recommend Trainspotting. It's something some of my friends would have liked back in the late 90s. Some girls I hung out with on occasion at a local pool hall had me watch it one night. It meant a lot to both of them. I didn't really see the appeal. If you watched any of the TV show "Once Upon a Time", he played Rumpelstiltskin in that. I'm surprised how little he was in that I recognize.
