6ixStringJack: In the "Save As" box that pops up, you can make a new folder right there on your Desktop that says something like "Brenda's Stuff" and save a copy of the book right into there. Or, you could just right click anywhere on the desktop first, and one of your options will be "New", which you can hover over for another popup box and then pick "Folder". Then you can rename that folder "Brenda's Stuff". So when you go to save your book from the email, the folder is already there for you and you just have to go to it in the "Save As" box and select that folder and it will save a copy of your book there.

6ixStringJack: Take some time today to play around with that email you sent yourself. Now that the book (and pictures) are sent to yourself, you can't hurt that copy unless you delete the email and empty out the trash in your email, so it's safe to play around with. You can click on them and see what happens. My guess is that it will open the book in a separate tab if you left click, and you'll get a popup box with options if you right click. If it opens in a new browser tab, you can go to the top where it says "File" and one of the options will be "Save As", and you can tell it where you want to save your copy of the book. You can download them into a different spot on your PC and that will be another copy, but since it's on the same drive that won't help if your pc fails on you. 6ixStringJack: With those pictures you can run a little test now too, as this is another way to save to your thumbdrive. When you pull that email up, you can click on your pictures you sent to yourself, and when you download them, with your thumbdrive in the USB port, you can save them directly to the USB stick instead of a folder on your hard drive. Write down today's date if you don't know how to either flag the email as super important so it won't age off on you, or how to create a folder for your books in your email that you can go to. At least you will know how far back in your inbox you'll need to go by date. Even better if you put a word in the email title that you can search later on. You can even put in a random word that hardly ever gets used so if you search for it, it will be the only thing that pops up. 6ixStringJack: I would say that you should email it to yourself before you do anything. That way you have two copies before you even try copying to the stick. About the only way I think you could ever need that email backup is if you MOVE the book to the thumbstick instead of copying it, and then you pull the stick without ejecting it first (and then the 1% chance of your stick getting garbled happened to you on top of all of those wrong decisions). In that basically impossible situation, you'd still have a fresh copy online that you could download and try it all over again until you got it right.
