Brenda: I know. I was sorrly bent out of shape at my tv too last night. It went wonky around dinner time just when I sit down to watch the 6pm news and was still wonky when I went to watch the 11pm news from Washington state. Found out this evening what happened. There was a fire in the building of my internet and cable provider. At least I will be able to get the news from the US tonight.

Brenda: Yeah, Yogi Bear was a thing when I was a kid too. Never watched Scrooge McDuck but I did watch some Donald Duck stuff. My tastes ran more to Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the like. Duck Dodger in the 23 and a half Century.

6ixStringJack: Yeah... Boy... when my internet goes down for half a day it's almost as bad as when my power is completely out. Especially if it's cold out and I can't just go outside to get some stuff done. It's crazy how addicted we are to tech without realizing it. If it weren't for my pretty numerous outages around here, I wouldn't get that reminder all that often.

6ixStringJack: "Smarter than the Average Bear". One of my two favorite cartoon catch phrases of all time. It was that from Yogi, and "Work Smart, Not Hard" from Scrooge McDuck. Always remembered a Donald Duck cartoon with his nephews too where he was trying to teach them why saving was important and the piggy bank he gave them would play a song that said "Take my advice, do as I say, save a little money for a rainy day" every time they put a coin in it.

6ixStringJack: The only person I know who likes talking about religion is my brother. If it ever starts coming up, I'll let him know I'll humor him for 5 minutes and we're going to need to change the subject. It's just about as annoying to me as my old man talking about Football. Just something I gotta suffer through on occasion while realizing I'm sure there are things I care enough to talk about that bores them out of their skulls too.

Brenda: Yup, and I can't stand it. I've said time and time again that I have no truck with their religion. But every so often it is trotted out and have to say leave alone. And I don't even have to luxury of swearing at them and trust me it is sooo very tempting. Well, here being I guess about 20years older than me probably makes her think that I should think like that. But no thank you. A friend of my mum's that these people knew tried that when I was a child. She found out the hard way it doesn't work with me. I know too much about the natural world and such to believe that. As my Blair used to say about me smarter than the average bear.
