Kim Possible , Disney creation , is rated G

Captain Marvel , MCU , is rated PG-13.

To claim that the same audience watching KP will be flocking to a PG-13 movie to see a lead FEMALE character and view her as something so incredible fresh and new is ridiculous.

To quote Brie … " it's not MADE for them ! ".

What was Brie asked to generate that response?

Oh, she straight up offered that line, when talking about white males over 40 who criticized ( did their job and talked about ) A Wrinkle in Time.

I never saw the movie, but apparently, it was hot garbage. Not everything magical and sci-fictiony is ' fantastic '.

See ' The Golden Compass '

But Brie took personal offense to anyone dissing AWIT because apparently if white men didn't think much of the movie, THEY were the problem, not the movie. And THEY weren't the audience anyways.

Blatant ID nonsense , along w/ overt racism and bigotry on the part of Brie.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

"Captain Mabel" writes on Twitter:

Dear white men haters, You're not welcome at cinemas for #CaptainMarvel This movie takes a stand against everything you represent. Don't pollute the audience with your toxicity. I stand in solidarity with every woman who has ever faced abuse. Mabel

To which, James Woods replies:

Okay. We will be happy to sit this one out then...

My hero, James Woods.

I think I'm going to re-watch Diggstown this week, just for that.

So, A Wrinkle in Time was made for only Black people, or Asian, or Mediterranean people? I did not know that, the ad campaigns neglected to mention that. Glad I missed it. Are non-whites expected to be more stupid, more gullible?

It's now considered sexist to be a man and tell a woman to smile. I assume it's still okay for a man to tell another man to smile though.

Looks like it's getting a pretty high rating on rotten tomatoes. I mean most of the reviews sound like it's a 3 out of 5 stars, but passable. In the end I guess who cares what the actress says if the movie is good, right? I think I'll go see it.

Did you read the earlier posts of this thread, pointing out that CM rating on RT was so horrendous that RT had to revamp their entire system to artificially reverse the rating for CM, and deleted possibility of audience input?

"‘Captain Marvel’ review: An aimless superhero slog"

Quote:

What’s said to be Marvel’s most powerful superhero ever is served Melatonin by Larson. There is precious little texture or detail, ups and downs, or emotions of any kind in her performance. The character, even when kicking ass, is a total bore. The film’s best moments are provided by Jackson and a hilarious cat.

I really can't wait to watch her kick ass to "Just a Girl". 'member the 90's!
