Captain Marvel, DC or MCU?

They are really pushing hard on the ad campaign for CM.
I don't recall seeing nearly as much for Alita, yet I keep hearing mention that folk other than me want to see Alita a 2nd or 3rd time.
Does anybody find it humorous that we have not seen Alita doing any press tour and blathering insipid SJW drivel? I've seen Muppets do that.

Didn't you know, JSF? This is the most important movie in the history of movies! It's the first time a female has lead an action movie, let alone a superhero movie!

Brie never said that smiling itself was sexist.
She said that women shouldn't ever be expected to smile. She's fighting for the right of women to be miserable.
It's now considered sexist to be a man and tell a woman to smile. I assume it's still okay for a man to tell another man to smile though.

So… anyone think THIS is clever marketing ? Comingling characters from the MCU with straight up Disney creation ?
And set aside the cringeworthy idea of a live action Kim Possible movie, with an actress who clearly is miscast and several years younger than her animated namesake.

It'll probably get kids interested. I wonder what they had to pay Brie to smile for that video. I've never actually seen her in anything (that I remembered her being in*) before, so my only exposure to her has been in the last few months. I honestly had no idea that was her on the thumbnail, and I don't think at first glance of the short commercial I would have even realized that it was her if it didn't stamp their names in the beginning.
* I've heard she was in Scott Pilgrim. I saw the movie once years ago, but I don't remember much about it.
Anybody think it's funny (ie: shady) how copyright law works?
George Harrison pays $1,599,987 to Ronnie Mack for "subconscious plagerism" because some idiot judge agreed that somehow "My Sweet Lord" sounded a little bit too much like "He's So Fine".
Every dime The Verve made off of any album with "Bittersweet Symphony" has been paid to The Rolling Stones manger from the 70's Allen Klein, and all songwriting credits were changed to Jagger/Richards/Ashcroft because they sampled a violin that was used in a symphonic recording of "The Last Time", which apparently Klein had all intellectual property rights to as well.
The only reason that Spidey shows up so late to the MCU party is because Sony has botched that license so bad recently, and I can't even imagine the hurdles that were necessary to get the promise of an X-Men crossover (let alone how much money had to be paid to put Colossus in Deadpool).
Now we might finally get that Captain Marvel/Kim Possible crossover that was wanted by no one ever.
It must be nice to be able to buy up all the copyrights that were ever made so you don't have to worry about somebody suing you.
