Oh Wow! The whole gorram story was wonderful but what a whammy that last word of Mal's was. Yikes! Poor Zoe, poor Mal. Talk about tangled webs. I really love how you have got them all talking about the things most painful to them in a way which gives hope of healing though what Wash will think when he finally finds out that Zoe and Mal lost a baby I don't know. Hopefully with everything else he has just learnt he will be a little less judgemental on what is clearly in the past. Very shiny and oh good gorram, now I need another tissue gorramit! Ali D :~)

That is not a whammy. That is a bombshell of cosmic proportions. Wash is so not going to take that well at all. By far my favorite chapter to date. Keep the shiny coming; we'll keep reading.

So good. So very good. Again. The emotions are so utterly convincing, I'm left feeling a bit wrung out. Thank God for the light relief of Jayne and Simon!
Really liked the way Kaylee's real feelings about killing the feds came out in dribs and drabs. And the way Mal didn't just try to humour her. A lot of growing going on there.
Thought the way you examined how Inara feels about her job was excellent too. And the men's reactions to what she said were really funny. Just how dumb is Mal? And Jayne's prowess! Hilarious.
I thought the way you had Zoe telling her story was masterful - because the very calmness of it expressed more about the pain she's shuttered off than any amount of weeping would have. Although I fear there's going to be some weeping ... what with that little bombshell at the end. (Although I'm pretty sure you foreshadowed this a while back. I wasn't so much surprised by it but by the way Mal admitted to it).

No!!!!!! Where's the link to the next chapter?!!! Don't do this to me. Now I have to go do my biology essay.
Seriously this story is completely fantastic. I've spent the last few days reading it start to this chapter. It was so unputdownable that I haven't done the essay that's due in tomorrow.
I'll write you a proper review at the end but for now I'll just say that this is the most Joss-like fanfic I've ever read.

wow. man. crap. That was deep. The ending was very shocking. I saw it coming, but still.
I love the Mal/Kaylee interaction. I could see that very vividly. I liked the point of Inara saying what she did as well.

Damn. Poor Kaylee and Wash, both getting lost in the Black. Isn't going to do Mal and Zoe a bit of good if their bits of sunshine grow dark.
