there doesn't seem to have been any thought given about how to tell ranks apart within the alliance beside the 2 different uniforms commonly seen. My idea was to use the small elongated alliance pin worn on the hat or the collar by some personnel to indicate it. The names given to each would simply be for administrative purpose with various services (federal marshal or army) using heir own terms for the various ranks.

I wanted to created something that fit with what had been seen onscreen and still looked like rank insignias. The small amount of ranks is due to an assumption that the independents would probably have a lot of small autonomous units.

I was able to make 5 resin models so far, but the mold tore. I was able to repair it and will try some more later. The one marked, was to show where the additional parts go. The body is one piece and then two parts glued on and a the last connector is a purchased item.
