The pictures show how it arrived, rusty! So sanded, cleaned and painted. Used a battery operated camp light to fit inside and works perfectly and three settings. These lanterns are very hard to find, so if you see one and reasonably priced, get it.

Well it came today, my scanned figure as Jayne by “Werks 3D (K is backwards in name). It turned out pretty good for all the detail I was wearing at the time. You can see Vera, PAL, Grenade, Boo (pistol) spats, gloves, ammo pouch, Knife, the medal (kind of) and even the ear necklace I had on. It needs a little trimming, but turned out better than I thought.

Okay so this is my replica of Jayne’s “Serenity” gun sling. Started with a parachute harness (thanks to Bri Kupfer) , a 1 ½” wide leather belt, an Ethiopian Cross, WW II Canadian Defense ribbon, a second nylon sling so it attaches to belt, the square wire is hand made and I added a clip at the front bottom to attach an MP 5. The sewing was done by a local shoe repair shop, that I had to explain in detail what they were making. The far right is the ordinal screen used one, the rest are of mine. No Adam Baldwin “Jayne” handy so Bob, my pouching bag, in disguise stood in for him

It took awhile but found the right lamp, a NUVO 76-724. You have to cut off the top, use a 3" flat PVC cap, made the side pieces from aluminum tubing and wire connectors cut down. The globe (6"X3 3/4" textured) arrived and found the correct color for it as well. Now Book has something to read by. Now to start on Boss Higgin's lantern from “Jayne’s Town”. It’s a Vintage Ankerlicht Ankerlight Nautical Ship Light Lantern.

The cross and ribbon arrived today. Than just a small ring, a frog type pin (military will know) and some glue. Took just a few minutes to wipe this out. The cross is an Ethiopian cross, most are hand made so they all look a bit different and the ribbon is a World War Two - Defense Medal Ribbon, Canadian. Medal Found a better pic.

I made the screen shown one last year, but after the show, they cleaned up the laser gun. So I decided to make my own brand new looking one. You can see the older one in the both shown pic for comparison. It turned out better then expected. The screen used looking one is very rare and now parts to make one even harder to find, but I have never seen one like this except on utube of the real one from the show. Just had a thought, maybe this new one is the one Mal steals in the future. I better get an alarm system, tag it (and thrash Shute), no dating redheads and never give an employee named Heimlich the pass codes.
