Alliance officers rank insignias

there doesn't seem to have been any thought given about how to tell ranks apart within the alliance beside the 2 different uniforms commonly seen. My idea was to use the small elongated alliance pin worn on the hat or the collar by some personnel to indicate it.

The names given to each would simply be for administrative purpose with various services (federal marshal or army) using heir own terms for the various ranks.

Because not everyone in an army will spend all his time shooting at people. I imagine that the browncoat's version of supply included a lot of foraging and raiding the enemy under cover of darkness. This was designed to be worn on a costume I never got around to make.

Independent aerospace force
a completely non-canon idea for what a browncoat pilot might have looked like. the uniform is inspired by one of wash's jumpsuit.

Alliance enlisted personnel rank insignias
these are meant to complement the alliance officer insignias I designed. I would imagine that on the combat uniform, a subdued version could be worn in some fashion.

Independent army rank insignias
I wanted to created something that fit with what had been seen onscreen and still looked like rank insignias. The small amount of ranks is due to an assumption that the independents would probably have a lot of small autonomous units.
