You know, everyone always vows to change their ways as of the new year. Every new year. But we never do. Here's a few of the things I likely won't follow through on this year, but sound really good when I say them outloud. Feel free to post your own here as well, and we can all lie to ourselves, togther. Like friends should:smile: 1) Don't post to thread in Real World Events. Too many of the people who post there, don't live in the real world anyway. 2) Don't post so many chapters at one time, when I get a story finished. I never realized what I was doing. If I ever irritated you, I'm sorry. 3) No more Rayne fics. Probably. What I've got going I'll finish. No Mal River fics. Ever. 4) No more arguing politics with stupid people. There's no point. And I don't have the breath to waste. 5) No more rehashing the night I drove through the window at. . .wait, wrong list. Sorry:crap: 6) No more worrying about Muslims. It looks like they're finally gonna kill themselves off, anyway, and it gives me more time to write. Probably at some point about killing Mulsim fanatics who scream 'death to America" while eating food we sent them after some disaster or other. To all the moooslims out there in those tiny little backwards places who've done that, this is for you:finger: 7) No more driving my four-wheeler on the golf course over at. . .dammit, wrong list again! I won't quit that anyway, it's fun:evil: 8) No more hanging out at the waterfall just in case something really cool happens. From now on, I'm strictly there for the beer and the women. I'll leave the video camera in the case. Unless someone yells "hey ya'll, watch this", which is a sure indicator that someone is about to kill themselves being stupid. Or drunk. Or both. 9) No more putting off the big one. The book's ready, and it's going to the publisher. If it's accepted, and I'm rich, it's been nice knowing you all  10) And finally, no more laughing at Democrats who say they stand strong on National defense. IT's too much like laughing at the funeral home, even if you ARE glad the person is dead. It's too easy. Hope you all have a great new year, and things go so well, you can't remember the bad times. I hope the sun shines when you want it too, your crops grow tall and your children taller, and that your heart's desire, (unless that's another Clinton Presidency, sorry) is granted to you, in full. Always Bad, but loveable anyway BadKarma Honorary President for Life, International Brotherhood of Rednecks, Beer Drinkers, and Old Fashioned Good Ole Boys

Okay, so I've decided to try online dating, and I've signed up for this free version ('cause I'm poor!) of this site that will remain unnamed. That means that I can only view other people's profiles, send flirts, and answer invitations to instant messages. Quite frankly, I am a very friendly, fun-loving person, and can be quite chatty with friendly strangers. But, when a guy I don't know starts to flirt with me... well... I tend to have this instinct to freak out and run away. So, I'm on the site a little while ago, and I get an invite to IM. I click okay, and it's this guy. Cool, I casually think, and I start chatting with him. About 30 seconds into it, he gives me all of his phone numbers. Now, when it comes to communicating with people online, I can be quite paranoid about protecting my identity and personal info. (Which is why I love sign-on names! You could be totally anonymous!) I don't give him my number, but I gave him my e-mail address that I've set up specifically for this online dating thing. And, we start chatting a little more. He asks me what kinda of guy I'm interested in, and I say that I'm looking for a guy to respect me and my opinions because I can be quite passionate about some things. Then he starts telling me that he lived with a woman for 11 years and they never had an argument. Uh-huh. Sure. Like I'm going to believe that right off the bat. :disappointed: So, I decided to tell him that my laptop battery was about to die, and after some goodbyes I signed off the site. And, unfortunately I had already given him my e-mail address. :banghead: I'm afraid this guy is going to stalk me. Am I wrong just lying to him like that?

Well, I hope your New Years have been collectively happier than mine. I had one chance, this one chance at finding and keeping something that's been gone from my life for so gorram long that all hope of finding it again had faded.... ....now that hope has once more faded completely away, no thanks to a complete dearth of time, stress and other interferences on both sides. Ain't her fault and ain't my fault. At least we got a chance to talk it over finally, and suss out where we stood on it. It was tearing me apart, the desire to keep working at it whenever we could: but realistically there was no way we could make it happen. Not with everything going on in her life and not with my work hours as damned unpredictable as they are. The only hope left now is that she isn't running around making me sound like the bad guy, since neither of us is to blame for being unable to make it happen. I wanted it to happen. Damn it all, how I wanted it to happen, to find out if some shred of happiness could finally fall upon me. Well, welcome to reality. It's not gonna happen. Everyone's always saying that all you need is love - but if they think all I need is hurting and misery, which is all love has ever given me, I'd give up a real bath to find out what they've been smoking. I've got nothing to hold against her, it's just so....damned....disappointing. I can't seem to quit being reminded of her and wondering what we could have been. Do you understand now why I'm so hesitant to explore the possibilities? I'd like to shout out a major xie-xie to a few of you for being sympathetic and considerate about this whole mess. New Year's Eve is a time when most people get together and celebrate with a mighty fine Shindig, a couple of drinks and in most cases a New Year's kiss - how many people break up on New Year's Eve? I don't blame her, and I hope she doesn't blame me....but what the hell happened to "the greatest thing you will ever learn"? I can love someone till I'm red in the face, but being loved in return - that's the part that just flat-out refuses to work for me. I know what a lot of people will probably say, that I have the love of so many friends and family and others to lean on. And as much as I appreciate that, true, romantic and pleasurable companionship, no matter how sorely I might desire it, finds all those friends and all that family - much earlier in their lives, I might add - but can't seem to be bothered to come my way. I find that REALLY unfair. Well, again, thank you to all the "Kaylees" who have extended their comforts and their sympathies - I'll tuck 'em into the inside pocket of my brown coat and keep 'em close at heart. Even though I keep running into "Inaras" who have left almost nothing of the heart I once had. Mind you, she didn't try to tear my ticker apart on purpose the way the rest of them did - it ended well considering, and we're still friends, which has never happened before. Can't I ever accrue something more than friendship, though? Can't a "River" ever show herself? Someone I can learn to love despite her flaws and who can learn to love me just the same? Is that really too much to ask for???

Malcolm Reynolds was eyeing the uniformed men and the frozen figures of his crew, those in the loading bay leastways. Figures that River musta sensed something – he thought – here’s hoping that tricksy miss got the women stashed somewhere. But where was Zoe and the damn Shepherd? Sergeant Louis met his gaze. “I do surely hope you aint thinking of making a play – Captain… I’ve seen that look before – mostly on men soon to be very dead.” Keeping up his callow Captain Duncan persona, Mal nodded. “Don’t doubt it Sir… I can surely tell that you boys are all hardened men of action. Been on some tough runs no doubt.” “Gorram right.” Louis hefted his piece, the way another might heft a belly. Reynolds began to move, looking distracted – but slowly, very slowly coming between the Sergeant and Jayne. “Yes Sir,” Reynolds continued. “Some fierce action – I mean, just look at them splendid outfits – I mean uniforms – gun battles made a mess of something I’m sure your mother was proud to see in you in.” Louis coloured. “Leave my mother out of this Captain.” Reynolds nodded. “No offence meant Sergeant. I got nothing but respect for what I see. Take that bullet hole there…” The Captain pointed to Louis’ side where there was indeed a hole and a faded burn mark. “That must’ve been a close call.” Louis agreed cautiously. “I’ve had my share.” Mal inclined his head. “Absolutely – a shot there, that’s a nasty thing, a lotta parts a man values, kidneys, liver, spleen, internals.” Kaylee was beginning to look a shade of green – but Reynolds spoke up to Simon. “Hey Doctor - That look like an exit wound to you?” Disconcerted, Simon Tam came over and gave the Sergeant a once over. Nonplussed, Louis waved him away with his gun. Simon looked across to Mal. “Actually Captain, it does.” Mal raised his hands “And they say that dead men tell no tales.” Without warning he kicked up and out at the Sergeant – who stepped backwards avoiding the blow… and blundered straight into Jayne. Cobb’s powerful arms seized the struggling man – held him tight. The other purpled figures raised their rifles but seemed unsure how to respond. Reynolds reached forward and swiped the gun from Louis’ struggling fingers. “Now the rest of you boys might wanna calm down a smidgeon – less you want your ‘Sergeant’ here damaged.” The other men froze. Reynolds regarded Louis – who avoided his gaze, still wriggling in Jayne’s grasp. Mal shook his head. “’Sergeant’… somehow – I doubt that… fact I doubt you fellas truck with the Alliance at all. Y’doubt that Jayne?” Cobb snorted. “Bout Alliance as my Aunt Fanny.” “You got an Aunt Fanny?” “Got an Aunt with a fanny.” Jayne said straight-faced. …………………………………. Solomon Face came across Zoe in an access corridor near the flight deck. She was holding a sullen and subdued looking young man in a battered Alliance uniform. Zoe of course looked a great deal less than flapped. The Shepherd smiled. “So you got one too? Seem to be all the rage this Xmas.” “Seems so.” Zoe agreed. “And yours would be?” “Oh, I’ll unwrap it later.” Zoe’s prisoner mumbled something in Chinese. Face looked serious again. “Y’know I don’t think- ” “They’re Alliance? They’re not.” Face stroked his neat beard. “Uh huh. So – what’s next?” Zoe considered. “Think I’ll throw this tadpole back in the pond.” The ‘tadpole’ blanched. “And the Captain?” asked the Shepherd. Zoe raised an eyebrow. “He’ll be enjoying himself I should imagine.” ……………………………………. He’s enjoying this, thought Kaylee as she watched Mal chide the assembled ‘Alliance’ men – him and Jayne both. She looked over at Simon – he just looked… impatient. “So now you’re all truly educated in regards to your horrible amateur status and the ridiculous ease with which the tables were truly turned – I’m thinking it’s time to deal. This, Boys, is known in the trade – amongst professionals that is, as a stand off. I’m thinking your ship may be armed…” Louis opened his mouth - but Mal cut him off. “No way to know for certain – if I ask – well, you’ll

I resolved to make peace. I feel like a war. There's just too much frustration and pain and, it would seem, no good way to express any of it. Because even when it's expected, no one wants to deal with the actual consequence. Every time I say what I feel I upset someone. Or I'm ignored. Hard to make peace when I can't talk.

Okay so I’ve been out of touch for awhile. Actually I haven’t even lurked much, except to try to keep current on the MsB situation. Naturally I am wondering what everyone has been up to. I myself have just been attempting to get a grip on life and being somewhat successful. I imagine many or most of you can relate to some degree. Our holiday was quite pleasant: family-free, hunker-down-to-the-point-of-cabin-fever, couch-potatoeing. I hope you all came close to your holiday wish. A few days ago I hopped back on and checked out my old haunts. I didn’t really get much further than some recent XXX picture threads and PR’s birthday thread. I, um, had to stop. Anyway I’m back. Don’t know for how long or how frequently. Kinda like sex. Anyway, below is list of all the browncoats I have had at least some contact with over the last year and a half. I cannot vouch for its completeness because I stopped maintaining my contact list for some months before I stopped posting. So if your name isn’t on the list please don’t take it personally. Also on the list are some names that would rather not have contact with me. I left them in there in case anything (hard feelings) may have changed. Part of my time away has been used to purge some of the bile that I brought in here. I hope it took. Is everyone still out there? Did I miss anyone on the list? I know I did in my heart. Anyway, feel free to PM me because I don’t want to monopolize any thread time. I figgered that this would be the quickest way to get the word out that I’m back and I still luv y’all. 13, 6ixStringJack AntiMason, ASortAFairytale, AURaptor BabyWithThePower, Blackshamrock5, BlueEyedBrigadier, BoomerGoodheart, BrownCoat1 Calhoun, CaliforniaKaylee, CallMeSerenity, Canter, CaptainJosh06, Causal, Channain, ChrisIsAll, ChrisMoorhead, Citizen, Clementine, ComicGirl, Constance, CoPilot DancingNeko, Dayve, DeepGirl187, DerangedMilk, DeskTopHippie EmmaRigby, EngineAngel FinnMacCumhal, FireflyGal, FlyVote, FloralBunny, FutureMrsFillion Ged, Gee, Gladiator32, GorramnDoll, Grizwald Hell'sKitten, Hobbleit INeverMarried, ItsAWash JamesTheDark, JossIsAGod Kaneman, Karel, Kayna, Kelkhil Laurelin, LeiaSky, LittleAlbatross29 Magdalena, Mal4Prez, Mavourneen, Mircea, MisstresSahara, MrT, MsB NavySeils, Nevis, NewOldBrowncoat, Nicodemus, NVGhostrider OddsBodskins PaganPaul, PDCharles , Penguin, PhoenixRose, PumamanRedux RedLava, RiverIsMyGoddess, RMMC, RoxyFreefall, RugBug Sahara, SerenitySally Seryn, ShinyKitten, ShinyTrinket, SmartButDumbBlonde, SpaceAnjl, Steamer, Stegasaurus, StinkingRose TheSomnambulist, Traveler, Tristan VerseExplorer, Vinterdraken WhimsicalnBrainpan YinYang Zeek, Zerokiryu, Zzetta13

Squashed and jostled in the cramped interior of the Bus, Simon Tam held onto the leathered ceiling strap with white knuckles and stared at the floor, his eyes deliberately unfocused. Wearing his glasses would only reveal just what the slimy trail between his shoes actually was. Simon did not want to know. Jayne ignored him, was busy staring at (whatever the hell that was passing itself as) a map - as it flicked in and out on a fuzzy wall screen. Kaylee was grinning from ear. “What – you NEVER caught a bus before?” She had asked Simon incredulously. Simon had clutched onto his medical bag and shook his head silently. After muttering some Chinese Kaylee had squeezed herself to the head of the rectangular deck. The driver/pilot was squeezed into a tiny cubicle, framed by transparent plexi-glass. Kaylee was knocking on it now excitedly. The man responded to her tapping with an automatic “I’m drivin’ ma’am – don’t distract me.” - But the corner of his eye registered her keen look and her pretty face. “Well, hey there l’il gal, can I help with something?” Kaylee ignored the patronising words – she’d heard them half her life already – and she could recognise a friendly tone of voice easy enough. “Aint been on one a these since I was so high…” she laughed. “Takes me back, pigtails, satchel, school – you aint taking me to school are you, huh?” The driver laughed. “Lookin’ at you – I’d say, maybe…” Kaylee preened politely – but her eyes were already scanning the dials of the man’s dashboard. He noticed that. “You a flyer, Miss?” “Mechanic”, she smiled. “Hell, we got a sore need for those” the driver said honestly, “End up doing the patching chores ourselves. No mean feat with this beast.” “Must get a lotta wear, regular runs like this.” “Y’Gorram right. Still, my baby aint let me down yet.” Kaylee noted the way his eyes moved – the way he could look at her and the screens at the same time. “You been doin’ this a whiles then…” “Let’s just say – the two of us aint so graceful – but we’re growin’ old together all the same.” Kaylee grinned wide at that. “So what kinda engine you got for this beauty?” It was the driver’s turn to preen. “Capissen 38”, he said proudly. Kaylee let out an unflattering yelp – and seconds later was tucked in next Simon, clutching a strap and wearing a face as white as his knuckles. ……………………………. “Well boys – you don’t know how fashionable you are… I mean – correct me if I’m wrong Zoe but – this truly does seem to be a remarkable centre of attraction… most people would assume a loading bay to be – I dunno, unexciting? Uninviting? But not MY loading bay – not this boat. Just what’s inside keeps being the uninvited – but hey, I Must say truly that I was feeling almost venturesome before.” Malcolm Reynolds was surveying the trussed bodies of the faux Alliance unit – with a characteristic cold glee. The man as called himself Louis groaned – “He always like this?” He looked helplessly across to Zoe who was covering them all with a rifle. Shepherd Face was checking the bonds, making the men “comfortable and secure – but mostly just secure, right Shepherd?” Reynolds had called to him. Zoe cocked an eyebrow at Louis. The man read her expression, sighed once and started staring at the ceiling. Mal considered his captives. “So – what’s the local punishment for buccaneering around these parts? Can I say bucc– you were tryna steal my ship weren’t you – or the cargo leastways…” His voice dropped. “Now that is a thing likely to darken the clouds in a man’s mind…” It was an audible threat – but then he lightened. “Still it IS Christmas… good will and forgiveness I believe… or – actually I don’t – but I profess I get some genuine satisfaction from knowing that you boys took them duds off the back of real Purple Bellies. Makes you Indies in my book.” Louis looked at the Captain – his expression surprisingly bitter. “We’re not Indies – we aint BrownCoats… we’re – supposed to be – Company Boys. Engineers, miners – waiting – contracted here, jobs promised – jobs never came… Never min

Hey everyone So I'm currently having a tough time, so to cheer myself up, I had a firefly/serenity marathon and then watched the documentary Done the Impossible. May I just say, WOW! I realized once again the great affect Firefly has had on me and all other browncoats out there. My hats off to all of us who worked so hard to keep the ship flying because we really did. I'm proud to be grouped with all of you and because Love keeps her flying even when she should go down, and we love like no other fans out there. -Over.

“So, this the Cathouse?” Jayne Cobb dumped the flight case down and peered around with a lack of enthusiasm that was uncharacteristic. “Aint nuthin fancy, huh.” The interior of the shuttle had been opened out to provided a reception area – the connected shuttles provided rooms. It was cramped – Jayne practically had to kneel, Simon and Kaylee were stooping - and it was bare. Someone had tried to encourage a little rustic atmosphere and there was sawdust on the floor and straw but the faery lights winking colour around the walls had a static look nonetheless – they weren’t just up for Christmas. “Still…” Jayne, gathered himself. “Aint like to complain with the lights off anyhow. So…” He rubbed his hands expectantly. Simon Tam sighed deeply. “Can you – for once, for a minute – just keep your mind on the job?” “That’s exactly where it’s at Doc’”, Jayne grinned wolfishly as a young woman emerged from a hatch, “hello there sweetmeat.” The woman smiled neutrally. Kaylee, had been hanging back a little, stepped up. “Looks like we got us a patient Doc’… y’ready?” Simon put on his glasses. “Yes – absolutely. Jayne would you open the case? Thank you. Ok, now – I am NOT a gynaecologist…” Kaylee threw Cobb a warning look. “But”, he held up a medi-kit “I can do standard checks, test for pregnancy and provide a general medical.” Kaylee and Jayne were pulling packs from the flight case. “We also have antibiotics and contraceptives. I will sign a certificate of general sexual health. I am a registered Doctor.” “Just not in the core”, he added. Erren had pressed a button on the reception desk more women began to arrive, whilst behind Simon Katee-Li and Amora entered through the main door. “We will all feel reassured, I’m certain”, Erren said politely, “and so will our clients.” Jayne coughed. “And payment?” Erren nodded and a woman ducked into a hatchway, emerging moments later with first one and then another rough looking crate. Jayne growled and a low torrent of Chinese followed. Kaylee however had, quick as a squirrel, darted forward and lifted the lid on the crate – peering in. “Oh,” she said. And “Wow.” And eventually “… Shiny.” …………………… River Tam was still laughing as she skipped onto a walkway and danced into the upper balcony floor of the Serenity Loading Bay. Making her way down She noted Zoe checking the seals on the freight hatches and airlocks, she could smell the scent of the men just departed, could feel some of the thoughts and emotions – such a thing would be unwelcome, if she hadn’t become so used to it. Zoe had finished her checks. “We’re sealed and running free Sir”, she duly noted. “Pirates are floating out – Nav-com won’t fixed for some tidy time.” “Thank you Zoe.” Mal said simply, before turning to River who was now stood against one of the airlock doors. “See, River – work, play - we don't mess the two on”- She cut him off, her words rushing out. “They all say that – when you’re small – no time for play, they say that. Adults. And then you grow up and they say – only children play games. So nobody gets to play. But everyone plays. Everyone – all the time, everyone playing silly games… like the men that were here… playing Pirates. Everyone – just games.” Mal coloured. “So, you’re saying we’re all just children?” Shepherd Face caught that. “All God’s children.” River shook her head, her expression intense. “There are no children here.” …………………………. “No children at all?” Simon was tired sounding, the job though almost done had been long. Still, he felt something he hadn’t in a long time. Job satisfaction. Or he had at least – now he was just… “I’m curious”, he admitted. Erren was pouring herself a shot of something from a dark bottle. “That was always the rule.” She gulped it down. “No children – no wives, no families. When this place was still waitin’ on the green light to go, to go work.” Simon started packing test kits away – he didn’t want to interrupt. “Then – the place started – well, it grew, y’know. We were already here – or some of us – semi-legal perks of the j

OK, so I don't usually feel the need to write a blog, as you can tell by the total absence of one here. But there's something bugging me a little bit. Ever since the evil hacker dude took all the shiny fics away, I've been noticing something. Maybe it's just my perception, but it seems to me that folks aren't commenting on the really good fics here like they used to. What's the deal with that? And no, I'm not talking about my paltry little re-posts, though a word or two might have been nice on them. I'm talking about the new stuff, the continuing storylines, the stuff that the writers have apparently put their hearts and souls into. I'm not the greatest at commenting myself, but I'm noticing that even folks that used to comment all the time on the same stories I'm following are not showing up. And the number of hits to some of the stories are dishearteningly low too. Is everybody losing interest, or what? Inquiring minds want to know! This site used to be the haven for Firefly writers who wanted honest feedback, but somehow that seems to have changed. I hate to think some evil hacker person has taken that away from all of us. What a shame that would be! *climbs off soapbox and goes to leave a comment somewhere*

Shoe-er. Something like that. I had a nice day at work. Until I left work, then traffic sucked. Now I have a headache and I can't have what I want. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with. And if you're not with anybody? Something is all kinds of not good.

I wanted to finally write down all the stuff from the JossVerse I own. 3 firefly shirts. All 7 buffy seasons All 5 Angel Seasons Firefly Series (woo!) Serenity Serenity Collector's Edition Serenity Set Shirt Serenity Found (Collection of Essays) Buffy Season 8 Comics 1-4 Firefly Official Companion Volume 1 Firefly Official Companion Volume 2 Serenity Poster (hung proudly in my room) I bet you're wondering how I got that set shirt eh? Well my dad's best friend Jack Steinberg worked on the movie! He was the 2nd assistant A.D.! How cool is that?! He also worked on some seasons of Buffy! He told some stories from the set and it's awesome seeing his name on the credits. I added a couple images to the FanArt section so check em out and give me some critique! I'm gonna add some fanfic soon called the Inara diaries. Much Love! ~OO~

So I've been away from the board awhile, and I come back to find that one of my stories has gone missing. Likely it's just an oversight, but I'm going to repost the story in installments -- there's only ten or eleven of them, I think. Normally I wouldn't care too much about it being lost, but this was a particularly good story...

So I decidedc to try my hand at this video making stuff and even though it's not great and there are a few things I want to change (the end being one) but I would like some opinions on it and you all know I truly value y'all's (yes I know it's not really a word) opinions

....why won't she just say hello, why doesn't it seem to matter how much I care for her, why am I all alone, why is there no such thing as a second chance, why can't I just be happy for once, why must I get all down and gloomy whenever I hear her name or see what she's up to,

I just had a couple of ideas for drawings or wall papers for the BSR! It's been a while since I had any cool ideas at all for this stuff. Both are River ideas...must go see if I have the pics I need. Also, since I've had such a crappy time finding a browncoat that I could afford, I've started making one. I'm trying a material that looks a bit like leather but is much cheaper. Posting pics of that when it's done too.

Today is stupendous, mostly because yesterday was near perfect. School starts tomorrow and I go back to later this week, so things are well. The Sarah Conner Chronicles are playing right now and I'll say Summer looks so different, yet is playing a rather similar character. I hear River in her voice, see River in her eyes and to have her playing a terminator robot really is kind of cool. BTW I do believe that there are now pictures of Lysander and I up on a recent picture thread, check them out! Being new to the site, I found the pics of almost everyone else so I thought we'd send ya'll an image of us as well. Hope the weekend went well for everyone and good luck for the rest of the week. No power in the 'Verse can stop her, whether she's River or Terminator. Cool.

In what can only be described as the single strangest case of deja vu...I've been put back into the old job I was in 2+ years ago. That means office administration. Stranger and stranger, really. I mean, I can hear people outside this office watching The Price is Right (just like back then...read my flylogs if you don't believe me!) I doubt it'll lead to all the weird posts of old, seeing how as I'm only here for 2-3 weeks. My first reaction to being told I had the job again was tell everyone to screw off. If I wasn't good enough in the first place, why should I want to return now just to help someone out? Oddly enough, a pregnancy knocked me from this job, and a pregnancy got me back into it (the previous holder's wife just gave birth to twins). (Yes, I'm aware of the irony of using the word knocked in conjunction with the word pregnancy) I wasn't given a choice this time, though. "You will do this, and that's that" basically was what was said to me. Guess I'll have to deal...oh well. I've already managed to piss off my new boss. SCORE!

It's that time of year again! 2007 was full of movies that I really, really liked, but few (if any) that I can actually say I loved. Mostly lame sequels, few good 'indie' sleeper hits (where was this year's Little Miss Sunshine?), and pretty staid political dramas. Blah blah blah, but there was some really cool stuff this year. I think people will look back at this year and remember three movies: 300, Transformers, and No Country For Old Men. If you want to hear me defend my choices, check out this week's episode of Front Row Center (frontrowcenter.podbean.com)! Here are my top 20: 20. TMNT 19. Shoot Em Up 18. 28 Weeks Later... 17. Juno 16. Superbad 15. 300 14. 3:10 to Yuma 13. Eastern Promises 12. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 11. Lars and the Real Girl 10. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - Not that he's done a whole lot since 2003, but this is Burton's best work since Big Fish. I honestly can't think of a good reason to hate this movie, and this coming from someone who expected to hate it. It's just a lot of fun. Johnny Depp wasn't all that great, but everyone else more than made up for it. 9. Grindhouse - Seperate, Planet Terror and Death Proof are pretty fun little horror flicks. But crammed together with a bunch of fake trailers, Grindhouse is cinematic bliss of the highest order. Tarantino's name was all over this project, but Robert Rodriguez once again proves himself to be the real star. As long as he wants to give in to his sleazier excesses, I'll watch his movies. 'Cause damn. 8. The Darjeeling Limited - While I still think Anderson's best work is The Royal Tenenbaums, Darjeeling is a film of zany adventure and disarming humanity. Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman and Owen Wilson sell their characters very well, and way the film comes to a grinding halt actually works in it's favor. 7. Live Free or Die Hard - Of all the big summer sequels, this is really the only one that managed to still come across as a genuine film in it's own right, and stands toe-to-toe with the best entries in the series. Bruce Willis proves he can still bring it as John McClane, and the entire supporting cast steps up to help make this a Die Hard worth remembering. This gets the "Rocky Balboa" award for being old but still being awesome. 6. Sunshine - The only good hard sci-fi film of 2007, and one of the best of the decade. I really don't have much to say about Sunshine other than that it's endlessly fascinating, right down to the bizarre hard-left that the plot takes in the third act. This film will in turns leave you in awe and hold you in utter suspense. Wow. 5. Knocked Up - 2007 was truly the year of Judd Apatow, and his cast of players staked a huge claim on the comedy landscape. Superbad, Walk Hard, even to some extent Juno, all of these films are hilarious in their own way. But the best of the bunch is the one Apatow actually directed. It's the one that comes closest to becoming an actual movie, and the cast is excellent together, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann in particular. 4. Hot Fuzz - Quite simply, Hot Fuzz is the parody of the decade. It's not better than Shaun of the Dead by any means, but as a finely-crafted rip-off of cop movies, there is nothing greater. The story, the characters, even down to camera movement and editing technique, everything about Hot Fuzz shows you just how much Edgar Wright loves cop movies. Maybe not as funny as it could have been, but it's got more wit than all of these movies combined. 3. The Mist - Best horror movie of the year in a year full of great horror movies. It's also the second most frightening film of the year. Psychological, survivalist horror is just plain better than gore-for-gore's-sake splatter porn, and Frank Darabont's adaptation of Stephen King's novella is note perfect in it's execution. Go for the monsters, stay for the tension. The Mist is as emotionally draining as it is thrilling and fun to watch

I'm tired. And sick of dealing with everything. Why am I the one who always gets left behind? I feel the darkness creeping all around me, but I won't let it take me back to that place again. I refuse to go back there!!! They know the right buttons to push to make me like this. I'm so sick of all of this...

As anyone reading this knows I am new around here. I don't know if I can call myself a Browncoat yet, but I am going to anyway. I found Firefly and Serenity (I don't know maybe it found me?) when SciFi did there strange marathon. I was sick that night and only saw three episodes. About a week later I bought Firefly and Serenity. And now my whole family likes the show, including my Mother who dislikes anything Science Fiction (She actually likes it the most after me). I figured it was time for me to introduce myself, and I have a few questions. First, what is the Firefly community like now compared to a few years ago. And secondly, is there any chance of seeing another movie or show, or has that time passed. Well I better end this, I am very looking forward to interacting with this great community.

I'm selling a few Firefly things on eBay and wanted to let my fellow Browncoats know. Wash Lives shirt:

This is my first blog entry. All I wanted to say is that after a few years I'm back to continue the series that I had going on. However, hopefully I will be able to make better transitions so that it may flow more readily. I'm not going to delete or edit my first fanfics, because I like the idea I had for them although now I think I could have written it down better, however this is how a person learns. To humbly accept constructional criticism and learn from mistakes. I hope you will keep your eyes peeled for my next segment of the story I started more than a couple of years ago. I've been recently watching the wonderful series of firefly and was inspired to connect once again with FIREFLYFANS.Net again. Welcome Home!

They're taking my job away again and putting me back where I was. Which wouldn't bother me much, expect they're pairing me up with the man who made being deployed in Iraq worse than it already was. Picture Frank Burns with no sex appeal. Or people skills. I'm so tired right now...and I've got class until ten tonight. Sigh.

38342.1 Ok, I'm way new to this whole thing, but I ordered the Documentary "Done the Impossible" and was blown away by how much the fans of Firefly/Serenity do. I want to become one of those fans, i.e. a true Browncoat. I realized, throught this documentary, that the Firefly 'verse really isn't dead. I knew that the fans, you guys, had done a lot, but until I saw that movie I hadn't realized how much. I wanted to thank everyone who made Serenity possible and everyone who still believes in Firefly. I hope, one day, I can be as cool as you! Thanks!

For anybody who may have missed it, this week's episode of Front Row Center is a doozy: 90-some minutes of us discussing the best and worst movies of 2007. It's a fun episode, to say the least. It's also a bit of a turning point for us, as we're now trying to get the word out about this show like never before.

Just as I was almost finished with the last chapter of Crew But Not...I get hit by a car going 40 MPH while crossing the crosswalk, and end up with a shattered right arm and left leg, as well as a destroyed computer. So fan life, along with real life, must take a surprising break as I work through this...and I am sorry to leave you all hanging even more. I will be bedridden another six weeks at the least, but might be able to find some way to finish and post the last chapter.

Just needed to have a little cry and a write. Comments and Advice wont be ignored.... Everything was getting better. I am so sick of this twisted circle that my life seems to take. I hate how I can hear my blood pulsing through my veins and I hate that I don’t know what to do with it. I can’t hear myself think, all I hear is your voice inside my head and I’m disgusted by it. How do you know what you say is right? And how dare you teach me to think, act and be free and equal and then force me to bend it to what you want. It hurts and it’s terrifying. How can words from somebody’s mouth be so soothing and comforting and then out of your mouth they can drain the life and the hope out of me in seconds. I thought I was stronger than this. I feel stronger than this. How much longer will I fight for? I feel like I’m a child, cowering in a corner. Waiting and needing someone to find me and show me they care. Someone to tell me what’s right from wrong because I’m too young to know the difference. Someone else because I’m not suppose to know how to do it on my own. You tell me to think for myself but you hate it when I do. You tell me to figure out what I want but if it’s not what you want for me there is always something wrong with it and because you don’t approve, I’ll find your imaginary fault as well. You tell me to live while I’m young and then bully me into staying at home because life to you is working and any other time is for resting so that you are able to go to work. I want so badly to live and be happy and content with nothing that I think it is making me miserable. I’m not you. I can’t be you. I’m only me. Let me be me. Help me be me.

Last week, I had experienced chronic hunger for several days. On Friday (day three of the problem), I went to the doctor. She looked at my record and noticed that I kept coming in for one reason or another, so she decided to a more thorough examination and found a small lump on my thyroid. The specific problem hasn't been narrowed down yet as the results from my blood tests won't be in until tomorrow. I do know that the lump is non-cancerous as I don't have any signs of thyroid cancer. But, I did some research on my symptoms (fatigue, insomnia, weight loss, anxiety, increased hunger and thirst, apathy, etc.), and I believe I have hyperthyroidism, which is when the thyroid produces too much of one of two types of hormones that makes your organs grow. I also believe that the disease was caught early enough because I don't have some of the more severe symptoms yet. (You don't want me to describe them, believe me!) I'm guessing I've had this disease somewhere from two to seven months. Frankly, I'm really scared. I don't know what to do or what's going to happen to me. So, if any of you have had thyroid problems, I'd love to hear your story. And, if you don't want to post your reply in the comments for everyone to read, please private message me. Thanks, PL

Due to work, the Holidays, family and another story I just couldn't get out of my head, the final chapters of Learning Curve got held up. I wrote most of it before I posted and thought it would be easy to finish it up. Lesson learned. Next time I will finish it all before I start posting. Anyways for those who commented on the story before thanks. The rest of it will be up over the next 2 days if you can remember enough of it to care.

I've decided that ARCHANGEL will be my final posting in the BSR, at least for a while. There simply isn't enough interest in the stories I write, and I need this time for other things. Like trying to figure out how to manage my LJ for one, I want to thank everyone who has commented on my fics in the months I've been posting them here. It meant a great deal to me that you took the time to do so, and I appreciate it very much. My work will continue to be posted at Fanfiction.net, and oneday, hopefully, lol, on my LJ page. We'll see about that, though. Thanks again, and Happy Reading!

I purchased The X-Files seasons one and two not too long ago, and I've ben watching them recently. I hadn't really forgotten how good the show was, and to be honest, when it was bad in the early days, it was really, really bad. I did actually get bothered when it was posited on the show in the episode "Squeeze" that Spooky Mulder got his nickname because of the X-Files. We find out later, of course, that that isn't true, but it feels true. I think...but I'm not sure, that he got his nickname by how well he was able to solve cases for the Violent Crimes section. And Gillian Anderson! How cute was this woman! I mean, in the beginning, it hadn't boiled over into smokin' hot yet, but, it was well on its way...(And, not to offend any young Firefly watching mothers that might be reading this, but, she did get better looking after the baby, though I think this might have more to do with wardrobe than anything else, so don't take what I say here too seriously...I don't!) I'm patiently waiting for the emergence of some of my favorites...The Lone Gunmen! The Truth Is Out There!!! (If you haven't seen The X-Files ((And, let's face it, Firefly has a young enough consistuency that that mighta actually be true)) I can't recommend it enough. Be warned, though...the first two seasons are a bit bumpy. There's more than enough good to hook your attention, but, there's plenty bad in there too. Just be patient. By season 3, 4, and 5, it's all smooth sailing...mostly)

Picture it: the nurses' station. Someone is asking about tofu. What is is, what it tastes like, what you can actually cook with it. "You can make anything with tofu." I said. "Even pie?" she said. "Of course!" I said without hesitation or flinching. (tiny voice in head screaming nonono) "Lemon." she countered. Even the die hard health food eaters looked at me as if I'd completely lost it. Enter the rule of Put Up Or Shut Up. I have done it! Lemon Surprise Pie! (The surprise is it's mostly tofu.) Take THAT Kerri Russel.

Well my fellow Coat wearers of a brownish colour it's been a while i know. I've been enjoying a much deserved bit of rest and i gotta say i've needed it. The last couple weeks have had me thinking about alot of things but in particular Love and Loyalty. I have a friend a really good one, She's been the most shiny thing to have come into my life of late. We began catching up last year when my head was not in a good place i was remarkably shut off (much to the shock of alot of my comrades when i tell them this now) and my friend who i've dubbed Bao Bei (ironically i've called her this since the begining of 07 and she only asked what it meant the other night) helped me to get my head on right. Now we are incredibly close and there is no mistaking it and whilst we both say we love eachother it's not a tip toe through the Tulips kind of love. This is a Loyalty love as i call it. I swore loyalty to her. In short if she ever needed me no matter the cost i'd be there and we both know this. Everyone that knows me says that i'm obviously in love with my Bao Bei but i don't care as i know what i have better than them so it doesn't phase me. I'd be lying of course if i said i didn't think about it in the begining but i very quickly pushed these thoughts aside. My loyalty to her is more important than that. Recently we had our first 'issue' which has been since fully resolved to everyones satisfaction (most assuredly mine). But it had the potential to become a serious problem and i found myself looking down the barrel of losing her. Made me take stock of things most ricky tick. Also it made me learn just how much she means to me and also due to our last palaver i've got a good idea at how much i mean to her. It warms an old bear's heart to know these things (timing she just messaged me then). After alot of thought i realised something I can can't tell you the difference between love and Loyalty at times i wonder if they aren't one in the same. Either way i feel good and i have a saying 'When Life's Good Don't Ask Why" See you all another time

Hi, It's half six in the morning and I can't sleep. Happy birthday to me. I got more driving lessons. Yay! The driving's coming along ok, I did the emergency stop last week, but driving in strong winds is not fun. I don't think I loosened my grip on the steering wheel the entire drive home! I also got the new Ross Noble DVD. Can't wait to watch it! Supposed to be going to Newcastle later to celebrate, should be fun. TTFN Jennifer -x-

Hey All I just saw NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN for the third time over the weekend. I think it actually takes that many viewings of it to really appreciate the film for what it is. I know it ends rather anti-climactically, but it actually works when you know what's going to happen and keep everything in context. Anyways, when watching it for the third time, I couldn't help but notice there were a few interesting character parallels with FIREFLY. Lewellyn Moss seems like a modern day version of Jayne whose a lot less crude. And seeing him with Carla Jean is almost like seeing a parallel version of Jayne and Kaylee as a couple. That's sort of the main parallel, though. Carla Jean and Kaylee look, sound and nearly behave so similar. I like to think that in some parallel universe, Jewel would have played that part, and one of our BDH's would have worked with the Coen Bros. Where they do differ, though, is just the scene in the end when Carla returns from her mother's funeral and Anton is there in the corner, telling her to "call it". You can't help but notice the parallels between that scene and when Early confronts Kaylee in the engine room in OBJECTS IN SPACE. But in NO COUNTRY, she's the one character in the whole movie who actually says no to Anton. She knows who he is, she knows most likely that she's about to die, but she doesn't back down from him. I like to think that if the show had lasted x number of years, that Kaylee would have become like that. That she'd still be a positive force, but that she isn't so thin skinned and that if confronted by a man like Early or Anton, that she wouldn't back down. And as for Anton Chigur, he's what I think The Operative should have been. I know Joss was trying to come up with a new kind of villain that didn't conform to the regular standards of the Big Bad, but I think Anton Chigur would have just destroyed The Operative upon seeing him. He would have destroyed everyone. I think the only people left standing in his path were gas station attendants and clerks, and he would have killed the trailer park woman if there wouldn't have been a witness. I think Chigur truly is the ultimate badass. It's not often you see a character with literally no soul at all. I mean, you've seen assassins and killers of all shapes and sizes with their own set of rules and codes and all that, but not like Anton. I think it would have been cool to maybe have seen an ep of FIREFLY where it seems like Cormac McCarthy had guest written an episode, like when Stephen King did an episode of THE X-FILES. Where all the iambic pentameter of Joss' writing style was just thrown out, there's little to no dialogue, and it's just stark, bleak imagery of endless deserts and unimaginable violence for 44 minutes or so.

I've been packing to move and I found two small sized Jayne hats left over from the legion I knit for Dragon*Con. They'd fit a child or a small-headed female type person (they both fit my head) and they're both made with acylic yarn. They look a lot like this:

I do not remember the sun. My life has been lead without it. I have no memories of trees with glistening sun-kissed leaves. No comforting glow to turn to. No rays a precious life. I have not known its warmth, glow, its presence, its light. I have not known of its life. I don’t remember the sun. I have no need of it. I have no need for its life, no need for light, so none of it is present or welcome in mine. It does not bathe me in glory, as it dos for others. It shuns away from me. The embrace of it I do not grace. It does not hold me well in the noon hour, or any. For me and I there is no sun. Darkness is my home. Cool, sweet, kind darkness. Where moonbeams bleach my skin and playful breezes tickle my nose. Where the world is but a whisper of its self and the whispers shake through the trees and hills without resistance. The stories all laid out for those know how can hear. Dew collecting on leaves flowers and eyelids, and mysteries and wonders all stand waiting to be found. And I have lived here alone. Oh there have been those who tried to join me, but Darkness is my kingdom, prison, and mine alone. Those who brought me here, and left me here, my mother, my father, pretend to be with me, to join me, but it is all a false mask. In truth they line in Light, and with it the Sun. They pass through, pass by, try, but they can not make their home in Darkness, with me. Not while the Sun still calls them, still loves, still opens its arms and embraces them while shunning me. I will not lie. I will tell you only the truth. I have craved the Sun in wonderment, for its mystery. But its bite and sting in my youth have driven me away and told me in no uncertain terms of it’s disgusting and hatred. It has told me to stay, stay away. So Darkness, my sweet friend, hold me tight, and I allow it to embrace me in its loving arms, to envelope me completely. And, Oh!, do I give into its sweet kisses when they are offered. And I have no loneliness for all the happiness I feel. I can not share my world, for none can join me with sacrifice. And without companion ship Darkness becomes my isolation. It has left me alone. No moon blossoms for any but me. Only I speak to owls and foxes and the other beast of the night. And only I can love the sweet beauty that is the Dark. The stillness, the quite and the subtle life. But, Oh!, have I know loneliness and its pain. It has shattered my heart, pierced my soul, ripped open its holes to disease, and left me broken. I have craved affection, companionship, until my body has screamed in despair. Again and again, until my tears stung my eyes at the darkest hour, only to wiped away by the only one who cares for me, my Dark. And maybe it was the Dark who called to me in the end. Where my loneliness and sadness usually laid one night there where friends to fill the void, to join me for once. There where companions to share my home and Kingdom with. To sit and lay with me, to travel by my side through the Dark, to experience it with me, finally I was not alone. And the showed me more, told me more and gave me more than I had ever had before. What beautiful creatures they were, that would be my lone companions. As small as the mushrooms beneath the aged trees and as tall as the trees themselves they stood. Beautiful all in their own subtle ways. Cloaked only in nature itself; leaves, flowers, fur and moss, Man and woman all, nothing human or modern about them. And I loved them so. Together my home became full of life and laughter. To the singing of the trees we danced, over hills and creeks we roamed. And never was I to face the cold alone. The faces always changed. Never did the same come two nights in a row. Never, save for two. Names where never exchanged, for they bore no importance, so their true names I have never known but they where my cons

First there were the headaches, the searing, burning and stabbing pain all through out my head. Crippling and making me weak, but I kept it to myself. I hide my pain to keep my freedom, for my parents would have locked my up and watched with bided breath if I showed any sign of illness. So great was their fear of losing me. And trapped in box with only candle light to comfort me was too terrifying to consider. So I forced a smile to run in my fields and hideaways in the sweet starlight forest above. And I got to be with Them. They began to visit me more frequently and our love trust only grew. Even when the sky began to pale around the edges they where with me, even when I had to say good-bye I could feel them with me. Soon though, the blinding headaches turned to nausea, and hiding became increasingly difficult, but I still did. I ate very little to fight the nausea and sickness and without fail I began to slowly loss weight. With that my parents began to allow the slightest worry cross their mind but thought it was simple teen rebellion, using my body to hurt them. The Doctors just told me to eat more, that it was silly to ‘starve’ myself, thinking the Dark had made me angry. No one saw that it was my body rebelling against me. What pained me the most where their repercussions. As my body turned against me I could not always make it out into the Dark, and that sadden me the most. But soon it did not matter, because soon They began to visit me even in my home. They came even in the punishment of day. Even when the waves of nausea crippled me to my bed I had some one to hold me, They laid with me. And when I was antsy and unable to sleep in the Sun shadow they danced with me, read with me and simple whispered with me through the heat of the day. Often I didn’t even need to call for them, when pain hit me they where there to hold my hand when I needed it. When I could make it out I was more subdued, unable to race in the night as I use to. The nausea kept me from dancing and frolicking with weakness and kept me from playing like a child with hunger. But still the Dark offered me so much. In the quiet stillness I could hear the whispers of life past and prayers weeping for their creator. In the twinkle of the starlight above I could watch my companions dance in passion and see how nature danced with them. And as the night expanded around us U could hear the softest sound of the purest part of my friends. It is truly amazing how much strength you find you possess in the light of sickness. And it is amazing how well you can hide your weakness and sickness when no on one is truly looking. And it is scary how easily one can lie to themselves about the truth. Yes, my sickness progressed. From headaches and nausea came the weakness and insomnia, for all the sickness sleep invaded me. Then came shakes and chills. So quickly did my down fall come, before long I could not walk. And I could hide no more. The Doctors poked and prodded, my Parents fritted and cried, but they could find nothing wrong. For all the tests and questions, there was nothing for them to find. Desperation flooded their actions and words. They became increasingly invasive. For awhile after then I was condemned to live in the hospital. With nurses forgetting more than once about the lights and the sun pounded mockingly on the windows all sending me into unknown pain. Where medicine was forced in me to make me sleep or to try to heal me and tests where run one after the other and no food could encourage me to eat. And I was alone. The hospital was my hell. Even in the haze of drugs though I learned I wasn’t alone. On the edge on my consciousness I felt Them. In the day I would catch o glimpse of them in the halls, behind the nurses, hiding in the shadows, form the sight of anyone but me. At nigh She or He might visi

My first blog: So, I am writing my own universe, holy crap this is difficult. I have a great deal of respect for those that write fanfics here and have redoubled that respect with the project I am currently on. I have a job that is long stretches of boredom punctuated by moments of panic. I spend that time here or in my other fandoms. Lately a creative wild hair/hare has crawled twix my nethers. That is what is calling me to create my universe. I have had this idea floating around in the dark emptiness I call my head for at least 15 years. It revolves around shape shifting, totems, and the possibility that all the monsters we grew up fearing are not only real and regulated; but all related. Much like JKR, Joss, and RO'B though probably not nearly as good, I will hopefully get this thing done in the next few months then go shopping for a literary agent. Wish me luck

They always say children are our future... I am beginning to think we might be doomed. I really do love my students and I see some who are working and trying, but for the most part, they aren't. They will do as little as possible and just scrape by. I am not just talking about the students I work with, but all over. The work ethic seems to have gone in favor of scams, rudeness, lying, self absorption, and a complete lack of interest in anything that isn't entertainment related. I could go on and on and blame loads of different groups, but what it comes down to is we, as a society, are losing what matters. We work so hard to offend none and micro manage all that we have driven all creativity, ambition, and work ethic out in favor of internet celebrity and getting by with as little work as you can... Hmm sounds like I am bitter, but really I am just sad. I don't think there's much of a future out there. I see some exceptions ( like the teenagers on this board) but as a whole I don't think much of my generation's parenting abilities... we're raising lazy, selfish, brats!

Ni Howdy, all... Thought it time to put in a new log entry... Was looking for total # of DVD box set sales for Firefly but no luck on those numbers. But was happy to see FF boxset at #24 as of Jan. 26, and for Dec. 31, 2007, FF boxset was #12... Pretty Gorramn Shiny for a show not been on a Network lineup for over 5 years. what was that quote from Kevin Smith? "Don't F$@k with Browncoats... They're cheering a show that's not even on." Stay Shiny & Keep Flyin'... --- M.A.Ghaffar P.S. I've been on a few Internet radio show episodes of "The Real Revolution" (see link) www.BlogTalkRadio.com/therealrevolution Most recemtly on this past Sunday's show.

OK - high time to get rid of that doom'n'gloom nobody-ruttin'-loves-me entry everybody has to read when they go to my profile, so.... I just noticed my brown coat was made in China. That was worthy of a snerk or two. Also, on a morning's browse, I came across this which should resonate with anybody who wants to show their true (brownish) colours: The Stealth Geek FAQ

I've been away for a while now. The last few months have been rather hard on me, or perhaps it is more accurate to say that I made my life an ordeal for the past year or so. Nevertheless, it recently occurred to me that I have to change the way I go about things, and that my failure/refusal to do so would result in my dying. And I don’t want to die. So, I guess you could say that I’m following the only course left to me ☺ I aim to get back in touch with the things that used to bring me joy and peace of mind. Maybe I’ll pick up the guitar again. Maybe I’ll get back to writing, or drawing. We’ll see. At the moment, I’m focusing on recognizing and appreciating my strenghts and letting things come to me, or not, for a little while.

OK, we are all a little obsessed over this show or we wouldn't be on this fan site. Here are ten things I thought would identify the Totally Obsessed Fans. Check the list and add up the ones that apply to you. Here's the list. You know you are obsessed with Firefly if: 1. You can quote lines of dialouge, knowing who said what, when, why, and where, from all episodes and Serenity. 2. You dream of Firefly and/or the actor's in it. 3. You've written at least one fanfic about Firefly. 4. You watch anything the nine main characters are in even if it's crap. 5. You have a Firefly actor's name on your Myspace friend's list. 6. You've spent your months rent and car payment to get to a convention to have your photo taken with a Firefly actor. 7. You feel physical withdrawal if you don't watch at least one episode of Firefly per week. 8. You cried when Wash and Book died in the BDM. And do so on repeated DVD viewings. 9. You know every detail of some or all of the main actor's lives and troll the web looking for stories and pics about them and the show. 10. You would give up your life savings and a kidney to finance the shows return to production. Please feel free to add any others you can think of. By the way, I scored 8 out of 10. I've never been to a convention or met any of the actors. I didn't cry when Wash and Book died because I saw the movie before the show and had nothing invested in the characters. Stay shiny!
