Wow, you admit to being a crook, then insult and call names at those who don't like it.
Class act.

Absolutely!!
Then I guess we both agree you're [MOD EDIT: Please refrain from personal attacks]. Good to know.

Cache...welcome man, you've got quite the set of cajones here! You're spraying chit into the wrong wind here pal.....if it weren't for these folks here at FFF and some other original 'Coats, you'd be strategizing on how to bring back TJ Hooker....instead of Firefly. The Browncoats have done more than you can possibly know.....
Raised boatloads of CASH for Joss's charities
Created web sites & guerilla marketing
Organized cons & bashes
Organized activities to both Fox & Universal
...and it never stops!...THEY NEVER STOP!
Thanks to THEM....WE got us a big damn movie...did ya know even that?

Bet it's yet another one of Kaneman's many personalities.
Oops, I mean one of his little brother's many personalities.

Wow spell flames aside, You are all missing
the point. I am not talking about posting
episodes of firefly on the internet. It has
already been done to literally no effect.
What I am talking about is delivering this
goodness directly into the hands of those
who would probably never be exposed to
Firefly much less purchase the DVDs themselves.
I guess instead of saying USPO I should say
United States Post Office so more people
might ken what I am saying.
Did we also miss the part about the poignant
letter? One that if coming from me would
probably contain a line some where that states
"If you like this BUY it" The whole point is
to drive up DVD sales, not destroy them.
As time goes on more of you "browncoats" will
turn to different endeavors. The chance of
this show ever being revived wanes each day,
and nothing short of a miracle will bring it
back. I for one would like to see that miracle
happen. Not just for my own enjoyment which
would be great, but for the actors who gave us
such brilliant performances. It is they who
suffer the most. Watch the interviews again.

I love this idea, as a matter of fact I am going to do this. Starting today, I am going to make lists of companies that advertise on Fox and boycott them as best I can. Also, I will write a letter to each of the companies I am boycotting and inform them why I am doing this and that they should talk to Fox about bringing Firefly back on the airwaves. If Fox won't listen to the fans, perhaps the people bringing in the advertising dollars can change their minds. Of course, this won't work if it is just me so I encourge everyone to follow suit.
Thank Universal for airing Firefly in HD at
http://universalhd.com/Firefly/
This probably would of been more effective when Firefly was just released. This far out, not much would be accomplished.
Unless of course you were trying to pressure Fox into releasing the rights to Firefly so that someone else could produce it. Now that could work since it doesnt look like Fox is doing anything with Firefly and may say its more trouble than its worth. However, there would still be that nagging issue of who will pickup Firefly, spend the money to make it, and then air it...
With a couple of tweeks, I wondered if HBO would of picked it up. As much as I like Firefly, I am not sure its HBO's style. Though, if they made Firefly like they did Serenity, a premium channel might actually buy off on it.

What you are talking about is theft. Many have made that point.
And FOX does not own the rights to Firefly. 20th Century Fox owns the rights to produce, but FOX gave up the rights when they cancelled it and Joss asked for them back, which is how he was able to shop it around and have the movie made. Now Universal has the rights to make movies, and it won't go back to the small screen for as long as they have those rights. Unless, perhaps, they decide to make it a Sci-Fi series, since Universal owns Sci-Fi, but I'm not sure they can do that, either.
I would love to see a miniseries on HBO, or Sci-Fi channel. I would love to see Serenity 2. I would love to see the Big Damn Heroes on the screen again. The ONLY WAY that will happen is with enough sales. Serenity Special Edition is coming out this summer. We will all buy it. We will give away our old copies of the movie to spread the signal. We will buy more copies as gifts. It will be shiny.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

I wasnt aware Fox was out of the loop on this. I thought the Firefly/Serenity rights were split. Fox still had rights to Firefly the TV series and Universal had rights to the Serenity movie (series?). Learn something new each day.
Anywho, increasing sales is cool and all and very well could get Serenity 2 produced. However, I'm leaning more toward bringing back the TV series myself. Mainly because it see it surviving longer (I dont think 4 seasons would be out of the question, if they were shown in the proper order [img]
[/img] ). Also, Wash and Shepard live
As for bring the series back... hell, we need to talk to the Family Guy groups and find out how they did it. I remember Family Guy when it came out and it hasnt changed much.

FOX still has the rights to the episodes that were already shot, hence why sci-fi had to buy the rights to show them, but that's different.
And I would love to see the series back on the air more than anything, but I'll take what I can get, and realistically I'm more likely to get another movie. Even Joss has said that the BDHs are not likely to be on the small screen again after being on the big screen.
One thing to consider in that is that FOX does, in fact, have a talent-holding deal with Nathan Fillion. From what I understand, it means he can only make small-screen series on their network. Joss will not work with FOX again, and so the show coming back, if for no other reason than that, is not likely.![]()
