Howdy, all.

Quick update. I have photos of the only cloth I have been able to find so far. It's kind of weird in that it looks peacock one way and mostly gold in another...

Also, I am including some "sneak peek" pictures of the Zoe coat. It is nowhere near being finished...this is just the outside with one sleeve attached. I still have to finish the other sleeve, add the pockets, build and attach the lining, add the hook closures, and finish the bottom off. I do have a model for this, too...my lovely sister-in-law. That way, y'all can see it on a person rather than a dressmaker's dummy when it's finally finished! Let me know what you think so far.
Hope you enjoy!

You are pretty much my hero. I love the Kaylee jacket so far and also Zoe's coat. How's the vest coming?

Thank you, AgentRusco!
The vest needs to be re-patterned. It's not that big of a deal; a matter of straightening a curve here and there and readjusting the shoulders and panels. I have Zoe coat cloth and Kaylee jacket stuff all over the costume shop...as soon as I get one of those out of the way, I'll have more space! The vest should not take but one or two more tweakings before it's ready to sell.

NO! Next is the Zoe coat! Every day I think, this is perfect weather for the Zoe coat. No point in getting an overcoat because I'm getting a Zoe coat. Please, Tristan, don't listen to Marina!

Haha, the funeral dress is next to the DRAWING board - he's already working on the Zoe coat, don't worry!

Don't make faces.

Ahh!
Let me see if I can clear this up...not that I mind the posts!

Ok, I am almost ready to start selling the Kaylee Jackets...I just have to make one out of the actual Chinese fabric and see how that goes. Right now, the only peacock-colored cloth I have access to is in the pics I posted.

On the heels of that is the Zoe coat. I am modifying an existing pattern as I go, and will know what else needs to be done once I have a full-size coat to play with. Say another week or two until those are ready.

Meanwhile, I am still playing with the Zoe vest. Again, it will take a few more tweaks to get it perfect, as it is supposed to be a form-fitting garment. It will be somewhat difficult to match it to clients, so I have to be sure I have an easily-modifiable pattern.

Following that, almost anything goes...assuming I am not stark raving mad by that point. The River dress is something I'd like to take a shot at...it seems like a good piece to recreate.

Hope that helps everyone!

I'm so happy we have a resident costumer and all that! You can go so far and keep so much interest. Just keep pluggin' em out, y'know. Thanks for your dedication.

Back to the Zoe vest (don't make me get out the chain of command)! Uh, please?

I aim to misbehave!
