“Captain, are you insane? Have you forgotten what happened the last time you took her out on a job?”
“Why, yes I do, Doctor. As I seem to recall, she saved our collective asses from Reavers. Am I missin’ something?”
“Just the part where she almost got killed!”
“Look, Doc, I appreciate your concern, but in case you’ve forgotten, River’s able to tell when we’re gettin’ cheated and the like, and Badger ain’t ever been what you’d call on the ‘up-and-up’ with us. Zoë and I’ll have four guns between us, and River’s more’n able to take care of her own self in a situation, should it come to that. Final word is that she’s ready, she’s comin’, and that’s that!”

You used a Pride and Prejudice line, you are my new God. *grin*
Second of all, this was a brilliant little piece! I love how you write River, you've got her characterization and cadence down perfectly. It was very well written! Keep it up!
Third of all... *high fives* another person writing for Joss100, awesomeness! I'm writing Simon prompts for Table 2 and River prompts for Table 3.

Wanmei, I'm glad you noticed the P&P line in there. That's one of my favorite books! :)
I intend to keep on writing these as long as there is an FFF.net to post 'em in. So have no fear, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to write faster than I am now. Studying is an absolute b*tch. :(
I said it before and I will say it again..love your srories on Mal/River. I always look for your name to see if you posted any new ones. Your stories rock. Keep up the good work and more asap.
