Summary: River on Valentine’s Day.
Author’s Notes: Well I’m sad to say, but this is the last story in the Valentine’s Day series. I’ve just run out of characters.
Valentine’s Day: River

She knows the mechanic is with her brother. She wakes up screaming. In under a second he is in her room, comforting her. The mechanic walks by. She sees the sadness in her eyes. She turns her head away. She doesn’t want to see it.
She has cast a spell on him. Her brother gets up and leaves. He said he’d be right back, but he wasn’t coming back. She had cast a spell on him.
She jumps out of bed and heads to the infirmary. As she stands in the doorway, she watches her brother lose himself in the mechanic. She feels hot. Sensations are tingling throughout her body from head to toe. The mechanic was casting her spell.
“You said you were coming right back.” She is angry at her brother for being so weak against the mechanic’s spell.
Her brother runs to her side. He apologizes for not coming back right away. She understood. It wasn’t him who was being selfish. He cannot be blamed for falling victim to a spell.
She taught him how to play jacks. The mechanic had been the one to teach her. She was saddened. She missed her friend. She wasn’t a friend anymore. She was selfish. She was trying to take her brother away and she would be all alone. No one else would love her. No one else would give up their life for her. No one else would risk their life to keep her safe.
“Your turn meimei.” He smiles.
She sees the enchantment in his eyes. The mechanic is there lurking about finding her way into his heart. She couldn’t let that happen.

She headed towards the kitchen for breakfast. The Shepherd was the only one in the room. She sat at the table and conversation soon followed.
