I was cruising some of my favorite art site this morning and came upon this picture. Malcolm Reynolds by Dan Dos Santos. Tag says it’s for the upcoming “Serenity” comic from Dark Horse so it may be old, but the posting shows Dec-17. Just not sure what year. Anyway it’s such a gorram cool pic. I also like the detail. I’m think there’s a little “tip of the hat” to Wash in the pic. No doubt those are “Leaves in the Wind” blowing around …BPZ

Very nice. Background kinda looks like a star trek soundstage for one of ten thousand different planets, but still very cool.

Nope, that's the new comic that comes out this spring. Very exciting!
Now that I can look closer at it, there seems to be some barrels or some other pile of possible cargo in the background, I wonder if that's anything important.

You should have seen the surprised look on my face when I saw this pic looking back at me…..lol. The artist is very much a Firefly fan and said that he jumped at the chance to do the painting. I think it really comes through in the work!
The barrels….yeah, almost seems as if Monty should be hanging around waitin on Mal. Of course it looks like right now Mal may have his hands full dealing with Bridget…..ha..ha..ha.

The artist has paid such attention to detail. The new comic is gonna look really good. Didn't notice the leaves before...that is awesome.

I’m not sure when it’s due to come out Alison. I do have a friend that owns a bookstore. I’m planning on placing my order. If I’m able to get the info I’ll post it up.

It will be a Serenity/Star Wars flipbook, which means Mal is on the front. When you flip it, on the back is Han Solo. It is two stories in one comic book for the price of . . . . Free!
