Fuck 2020 Democrats.
Brainwashed fucking idiots and liars, the entire lot of them.

SECOND: 6ix, you have always been a perfectly natural fit for the Republican Party. Vote for Trump since he gives your life meaning that it never before had! Be what you always were meant to be.

SIX: I'm not a Republican. I've leaned far closer to being a Democrat than I ever have leaned Republican.
I will vote for Trump again.
But there's no need to give him any more credit for things he doesn't deserve. Voting for Trump brings no sense of meaning to my life.
Trump didn't drag me out of alcoholism. I did that on my own. No 12 step program, no group chat with "God" necessary.
I give my life purpose. And I've got plenty of good to do before I'm gone. For myself, and for the circle of people I care about.

I'm not the one of the two of us who has wrapped every fiber of his being around his political ideology.
That would be you, buddy.
Get some help.

No kidding! There are,
/were, people here whose souls seem to wrapped around ideology. It bends their minds and warps their view of reality.

I will never be in a room with Putin or with 6ix, so I can't know who you two really are, but I do know who you tell the world you are, and I sincerely doubt you are truthful. Tell any stories you two want about yourselves to make you feel good. The Russians are reliving those glorious days of WWII by killing Nazis in Ukraine. But from what I see happening in Ukraine, this is Russia at its worst, not best. 6ix, if you think you are doing great, well, super-duper for you, but from what I see you are not.

One would imagine that this is very fortunate for you in either case.

Dude... What could I possibly be lying about?

This place has basically been my online journal for the world to see if it wanted to, warts and all. And there are a LOT of warts here. So many warts...

Years worth of my sanity slipping as I nearly lost myself to my addictions. This place basically being the toilet for all of my demons, mostly I assume to spare what few friends and family members who still gave a shit about me the burden of well... Me.

You know about how I lost most of my teeth. You know that I even pulled two of them out myself with pliers I sterilized in rubbing alcohol, and how I failed miserably on a third one and my dentist did me a huge solid by staying late that night to get me in so I didn't spend all night punching holes through my walls after that went south.

Am I perfect now? Far from it. But I'm a lot better than I was, and I'm making an effort to always be better than I was before.

You want to talk about telling stories? The only things I know about you are about how fucking awesome you are and how every thought you have is the right one, every decision you've made is the smart one, and how you've never made a single mistake in your life... all because you're a Democrat.

THIS is why nobody believes anything you say about yourself. Your persona here doesn't have a human being behind it. It is a construct. Nothing more than a mere ideal of what you think you want to be and what you wish you were.

Second is a poorly written character.

6ix, if you think you are doing great, well, super-duper for you, but from what I see you are not.

Like I've said many, many, many times before... I have money in the bank. A paid for house. A paid for car. Zero debt. Zero interest. There's almost nothing that can break on me that I can't fix for pennies on the dollar to what a professional would charge, and I'm always learning new things because I have the time, tools and intelligence to figure these things out.

I don't know if you're doing great, good or shitty. I know nothing about the real you. Nobody here does. Second is a figment of some random online person's imagination.

Well... Not completely random. I know what your IP address was with the date on it.

The Meaning of the Plunging Euro
July 15, 2022, 2:01 p.m. ET

euro dollar exchange rate
https://www.google.com/search?q=euro+dollar+exchange+rate

It’s a bit simplified, but not that far from the truth, to say that over the past couple of decades Europe — especially Germany, the core of the Continent’s economy — has tried to build prosperity on two pillars: cheap natural gas from Russia and, to a lesser extent, exports of manufactured goods to China.

One of these pillars is completely gone, thanks to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

The other pillar is crumbling, as the Chinese economy stumbles, partly because of erratic policies in the face of Covid-19, and also as Chinese human rights violations make dealing with its regime increasingly toxic.

So Europe has a problem, and the weak euro may be a symptom of that problem.

Now, Europe’s economy isn’t going to sink into the abyss. We’re talking about incredibly sophisticated, competent economies that are technologically fully on the same level as America. Given time, they should be able to find a way to do without Russian gas and to reduce their reliance on Chinese markets.

But for now they’re stuck in a bad place, largely because their political leaders — especially in Germany — refused to acknowledge that the problem with autocratic regimes China and Russia isn’t just that they do evil things, it is that they aren’t trustworthy. Europe is now paying the price for that willful blindness, and the weak euro is a symptom of that price.

The War in Ukraine Is the True Culture War

With Russia trying to erase Ukraine’s national identity, the fight to preserve, and build upon, Ukraine’s artistic heritage has taken on new urgency.

For President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, there is no Ukraine as such; he maintains that Ukraine is a Soviet fiction, that the Ukrainian language is a Russian dialect, that Russians and Ukrainians are “one people.” And so since February — indeed, since 2014, when the war first began in the east of Ukraine — cultural manifestations of Ukrainian independence have been directly in the cross hairs.

Why would an art critic go into a war zone? Why should anyone care about a painting when cruise missiles are overhead? Because “this is a war about cultural identity,” said the curator Leonid Maruschak — one of so many writers, musicians and scholars who make no distinction between the survival of Ukraine’s people and land and the survival of its history and ideas. With Russia actively trying to erase Ukraine’s national identity, this country’s music, literature, movies and monuments are not recreations. They are battlefields.

“You see how many historical fake justifications there are in the Russian motivation for this war,” the philosopher Anton Drobovych, one of Ukraine’s brightest young scholars, said near his barracks on an island in the Dnipro River. “History is no less important than the army,” he said. “If I felt that it was less important, I would deal only with my anti-tank affairs.”

Mr. Drobovych described Ukraine’s culture as an explicit military asset. “It is contagious, and it spreads to the rest of the world. It seems that this truth and justice, which is violated, simply explodes in people who create art. And I think that’s a huge part of why we’re going to win this war.”

In cultural terms the war here is brutally old-fashioned. It’s a straight-up imperial war, and it’s turned contemporary Ukrainian culture into an archival enterprise — one in which preservation is everyone’s job, and new creations are rooted in history the enemy would deny. The exhibition “Crucified Ukraine,” at a museum in the shadow of Kyiv’s stainless steel Motherland Monument, includes exacting replications of three underground shelters that housed 120 Ukrainians for more than a month this winter. Film archivists have become experts in explosion risks, and librarians are digitizing Soviet-era photographs that were spirited out of Mariupol at the last minute. Heritage authorities are tracing monuments with 3-D scanners, creating a record in case they need to be rebuilt.

Lviv, an hour from the Polish border, has become a hub for displaced people and displaced culture, too. Viktoriya Sadova has been showing new arrivals to the city around the memorial museum in Lonsky Prison, which was a Polish, then a Nazi, then a Soviet detention center. (She became the museum’s acting director after the war began on Feb. 24, and its regular leader was drafted.) Visitors from the occupied cities of Mariupol and Kherson scrutinize the exhibits of Soviet repression of Ukrainian partisans, and recognize the traumas immediately. “Eighty years have gone but nothing has changed,” she said. “We still have the same occupant.”

Russia defends submarine missile attack that killed 23 civilians

Moscow claims Kalibr missiles hit Ukraine air force meeting.

Russia justified a missile attack that killed 23 civilians on the central Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia, claiming its submarine-launched missiles had targeted a meeting of Ukrainian air force commanders and representatives of Western arms suppliers.

The attack was the latest in a series of Russian attacks in recent weeks using long-range missiles on crowded buildings in cities far from the front, each killing dozens of people.

Russia’s defence ministry said on Friday that its Kalibr sea-based missiles, launched from a Russian submarine in the Black Sea, targeted the Ukrainian military.

“At the time of the strike, a meeting of the command of the Ukrainian Air Force with representatives of foreign arms suppliers was held,” the Russian defence ministry said.

“As a result of the strike, the participants of the meeting were destroyed,” the ministry said, claiming the meeting had focused on supplies of jets and weapons as well as repair of Ukraine’s aircraft.

Following an initial silence after the attacks on Vinnytsia, Russia’s Ministry of Defence said Friday that its forces had attacked an “officers’ club” in the city – in Soviet times, the city’s concert hall that was hit was considered to be an officers’ club.

Meanwhile, who actually was killed? Not who the Russians say!

Among the dead was Liza, a four-year-old girl with Down’s Syndrome, found in the debris next to her stroller. Images of her pushing the same stroller, posted by her mother on a blog less than two hours before the attack, quickly went viral.

Liza’s severely injured mother, Iryna Dmitrieva, was being kept in an information blackout at a hospital for fear that finding out about her daughter would kill her, doctors said.

“She is suffering from burns, chest injuries, abdominal injuries, liver and spleen injuries. We have stitched the organs together, the bones were crushed as if she went through a meat grinder,” Oleksandr Fomin, chief doctor at the Vinnytsia Emergency Hospital, said on Friday.

Were she told of her daughter’s death, “we would lose her,” the doctor said.

Vinnytsia’s Governor Serhiy Borzov said only 10 people among the dead had been identified so far.

“Russia deliberately hit civilians and all those responsible for the crime must be brought to account,” he said, denouncing the “barbaric behaviour” of Russian forces.

But if they're in Ukraine we send them heavy weapons.

You forgot to mention that the amendment passed in a 218–208 vote where it faced unilateral opposition from Republicans. Per the Republicans, there are no, none, not one Neo-Nazis in the military or police, but it just so happens that there are many Neo-Nazis in the military and police.

In Ukraine, it is Putin (and his people) saying there are Neo-Nazis, but it just so happens that Putin is making up stories to connect the Great Patriotic War against Germany to Putin's war against Ukraine. But there are Neo-Nazis! Except they work for Putin: Who Are The Neo-Nazis Fighting For Russia In Ukraine?
