They, the Confederacy, are a bunch of losers. The monuments mainly were erected some 40 years after the fact (end of the Civil War).

What people seem to forget is that they tried to secede from the Union, by military force over slavery. Our country, the United States, was founded upon freedom from tyranny and being treated like "slaves" by the monarchy.

What these idiots are doing is anti-American (promoting fascist principles and dictatorship). Comparing Washington to General Lee is so wrong and out of context. One fought to give birth to a new nation of free men; the other fought to enslave humans and break away from what Washington (and others) had created, that very new and free nation - the United States of America.
Flawed men, yes, but what they achieved exists today and is positive and good. What these Nazis are looking to destroy is the very thing that allows them to carry on like a bunch of dicks.

Besides their anger is misled. But that's another story. The White Dickheads are comparing apples to oranges (no pun intended). In the European continent slaves were often produced as the spoils of war. The Romans were infamous for that, so were the Greeks, Germans, etc. Even in Africa that existed. Mostly from warring tribes and the like. So we could go back thousands of years and claim that at some point slavery existed.
The Spanish brought black slaves to the West Indies once they killed off the natives living on the land at the time. Some through illness and some through the less than stellar treatment at the hands of the Conquistadores.
Do they have slavery today? Does this make it okay, if they did? Or if they once did?

It is a stupid argument brought on by stupid people. But I agree with what you say, the Founding Fathers did do something that to this day is a positive thing...they created a new way of thinking. Granted there have been some negative developments along the way. Over 200 broken treaties with the Native Americans. Which is another reason why I despise these bullies who claim that they want "their" country back. That is not so. The Europeans that came to this country way back when, are immigrants themselves. There is no other way to put it. The only true Americans, born in this country, who were the stewards of this land far before the first Pilgrims landed was the Native American. Period. End of story. Full Stop.

So, Mr. Drumpf, put that in your pipe and smoke it!

But there is something wrong with Trump's argument: We celebrate the good things the founders did. Confederates didn’t do anything good.

As part of Tuesday afternoon’s bizarre remarks on the white supremacist demonstration in Charlottesville, Virginia, President Donald Trump suggested that removing monuments to Confederate military and political leaders could put the United States on a slippery slope.

“Was George Washington a slave owner?” he asked, rhetorically. “So will George Washington now lose his status ... are we going to take down statues to George Washington? How about Thomas Jefferson?”

Tucker Carlson sought to further muddy the waters on his Fox News show Tuesday night, by observing that figures such as Plato and Mohammed also owned slaves.

These arguments aren’t exactly offered in good faith. But even then, they reflect a profound misunderstanding of the nature of the Confederacy as a project — and of the difference between commemorating its leaders compared to America’s Founding Fathers.

Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and the other politicians and generals who served the Confederate States of America aren’t noteworthy historical figures who also happened to benefit from the institution of slavery. They are historical figures who are noteworthy almost exclusively because they led an insurrection against the United States of America, an insurrectio

Yes, he did. Twice in the last 3 days. Why do you lie? Do you think we don't know a hell of a lot more than you do?

You Nazis were thrilled with his response! http://www.sacbee.com/news/nation-world/article167308747.html

"By Tuesday afternoon, The Daily Stormer posted an article entitled, "Trump Defends Charlottesville Nazis Against Jew Media Lies, Condemns Antifa Terrorists."

He never did, you're the lying troll, and you know it.

There are FOUR lights !

Post anything you want, we all know I'm right and you're a petty little loser troll.

Can you expand upon "four lights" please?
I'd rather not wade through extremist leftist nonsense to find the reference.

Also, claiming that people with certain BELIEFS are inferior - like you do - is a very Nazi thing to do. Next you'll be saying people should be jailed for thought crimes.

Trump is not the problem. He set himself against the Deep State's agenda. And the Deep State's been heading for WWIII for years.
As for you, you're just a Deep State useful idiot, furthering its agenda. So I hope you enjoy cesium in your coffee. You've earned it.

I am very impressed, 1kiki, but not in your favor.

“When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor,” Kip Brown, a former employee at Trump’s Castle, told The New Yorker for a 2015 article. “It was the eighties, I was a teen-ager, but I remember it: they put us all in the back.”

Trump allegedly disparaged his black casino employees as “lazy” in vividly bigoted terms, according to a 1991 book by John O’Donnell, a former president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino.

“And isn’t it funny. I’ve got black accountants at Trump Castle and Trump Plaza. Black guys counting my money! I hate it,” O’Donnell recalled Trump saying. “The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”

“I think the guy is lazy,” Trump said of a black employee, according to O’Donnell. “And it’s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control.”

Trump told an interviewer in 1997 that “the stuff O’Donnell wrote about me is probably true,” but in 1999 accused O’Donnell of having fabricated the quotes.

Leftist love nothing more than repeating a lie over and over until finally people start to believe it. Here is yet another instance of that on display. Rather than admit they are wrong, they double and triple down. It's not unlike a toddler who refuses to admit they were wrong.

The reference to "there are four lights" is from Star Trek – the next generation. I have used this meme a few times here before.

The Cardassian was trying to get Picard to say that there are five lights. Four or five, really what difference does it make anyways? But that is how they play these games. Get you to admit a small lie, something that isn't true , just a trivial thing. Once they do that, it becomes easier for you to fall in line and repeat other, larger lies

When did AURaptor become such a thin-skinned little whiner complaining that liberals are meanies lying about his precious President?

You knew Trump was a racist before he was elected president of the United States of America. He was elected in spite of that (yet another reminder that “not all Trump supporters are racist, but all of them decided that racism isn’t a deal-breaker”).

Trump told Bryant Gumbel that “a well-educated black has a tremendous advantage over a well-educated white in terms of the job market”; demanded the death penalty for a group of black and Latino teenagers accused of raping a jogger in Central Park (and, despite their later exoneration with the use of DNA evidence, has continued to insist they are guilty); suggested a Native American tribe “don’t look like Indians to me”; mocked Chinese and Japanese trade negotiators by doing an impression of them in broken English; described undocumented Mexican immigrants as “rapists”; compared Syrian refugees to “snakes”; defended two supporters who assaulted a homeless Latino man as “very passionate” people “who love this country”; pledged to ban a quarter of humanity from entering the United States; proposed a database to track American Muslims that he himself refused to distinguish from the Nazi registration of German Jews; implied Jewish donors “want to control” politicians and are all sly negotiators; heaped praise on the “amazing reputation” of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who has blamed America’s problems on a “Jewish mafia”; referred to a black supporter at a campaign rally as “my African-American”; suggested the grieving Muslim mother of a slain U.S. army officer “maybe … wasn’t allowed” to speak in public about her son; accused an American-born Hispanic judge of being “a Mexican”; retweeted anti-Semitic and anti-black memes, white supremacists, and even a quote from Benito Mussolini; kept a book of Hitler’s collected speeches next to his bed; declined to condemn both David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan; and spent five years leading a “birther” movement that was bent on smearing and delegitimizing the first black president of the United States, who Trump also accused of being the founder of ISIS.

More lies.

There are 4 lights.

See what I mean??

There is a very real and present danger in bearing false witness up on those with whom you disagree. Calling those who are racist when in fact they are not racist, demesnes the actual word itself. It's like crying wolf over and over again hoping that maybe one Time the charge me actually stick.

You have forgotten the past, AURaptor. So are you now claiming that Trump did not spent five years leading a “birther” movement that was bent on smearing and delegitimizing the first black president of the United States, who Trump also accused of being the founder of ISIS?
