ohhh my god they really do it. and now I'm so in trouble.

ok easy things first, female: Willow

nothing else there to think about. I kinda like Buffy even though she's an egocentric whining bitch most of the time and I find Faith quite hot but nothing beats Willow's cuteness and overall lovableness (is that a word? very buffyesque). and I even loved seeing Willow go evil. what's to fight if you defeated a god? next step up has to be 'fight your best friend'. so it had to happen. I still shiver every time I see the scene early S6 where Giles and Willow fist collide and she threatens him: "I'm very powerful and maybe it's not a good idea for you to piss me off."

male? ohhh my I really don't know...

first man who comes to mind is Giles. he's my hero. mostly because he's kind and responsible and softspoken 90% of the time but when something pisses him of (=threatens Buffy in any way) he's the most frightening and forceful man you can imagine. quick to respond, utterly ruthless, violent and without a second thought he defends the life and honor of his slayer no matter the cost. that's how men should be to be 'male'. nice and charming as a rule but able to kill if necessary (not like Jayne, dumb and treacherous ). it's not practical or even desireable in every day life though. but it's the definition of male and in a way sexy.
...and I think I'm not saying this right.

and then there's Spike and there's nothing that hot (visually, from head to toe, with or without hair, blond or brunette) and funny around anywhere. he really took over the series when he came and no one had planned for it. I almost fell from my chair when he burned the 'annoying one' and decided to have more fun and less ritual. or when he asked Dru if he could eat Ford already in "Lie to me". and that was just the beginning, he kept on getting better and better (sometimes evil sometimes heroic most of the times somewhere in the middle). and I'm more than sorry SMG felt degraded by playing the sex scenes from S6. I read JM said he hated it too, because it was cold and he had to be naked and she made fun of him. so sorry for both of them but the result is pretty damn sexy to watch even if, or maybe because (am I sick or what? *grin*) it's on the dark side. much better than the Buffy/Riley action of S4/5, that was really something I didn't want to see.

if you asked for least favorite male (that made it into the opening credits) it has to be Riley, he's boring as hell and I don't want to watch boring. don't know why but he got on my nerves. but maybe that's another poll someday.

I can't make up my mind yet, so I'm waiting a while, my male vote will go to either Giles or Spike.

I'll go ahead and record your Willow vote, and you can let us know on Giles/Spike (which is a tough call -- they're both so appealing in such different ways).

Thanks for the thoughtful analysis on why you've chosen who you've chosen. More meaningful than, say, choosing Cordy 'cause you followed the link to her Playboy shots. . . .

I think you're doing very well. I can totally understand the problem with trying to pick between them, but I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I'm having a really hard time deciding who to vote for but seeing as Angel doesn't have a vote yet I think I'm gonna vote for him.

Although I was a Spike convert in later seasons and did rather like Riley I think it would be hard to beat season 3 Angel. He did go off a bit after that though.

Come to think of it Graham hasn't had a vote yet either.

Now I can't decide!

I haven't set a closing date yet, but it will at least go till Monday 5-17, so take your time. Heb, I'm not counting any of the people you mentioned as your vote until you let me know which one you want -- I couldn't tell if you were sticking with Angel or not. (If it makes you feel better, he's gotten 2 votes on the AtS poll!)
