Same rules, since Elwoodmom did such a great job with them -- vote for your favorite guy and girl, and we'll see who wins. One vote per category per person, and no proxy voting (so don't bother polling your friends). It doesn't have to be regular cast members, so votes for major guest stars (like Drucilla or Jonathan) are okay, as are votes for Gunhand.

I'm going to have to cast my guy vote for Giles -- ought of gratitude for giving the world a not-so-stuffy librarian. Add in the accent and general coolness factor, and I'm sold.
As for girls, I think Willow. But early Willow, not scary evil Willow.

I'm voting for Giles in this one, well...he really is my favorate male Buffy character, and I think once all the Angel and Spike votes start pouring in he's gonna need all the votes he can get. But I am open to be surprised.

The guy part of this is pretty difficult for me to pick - never really thought of any of them as favorites or not. Well, I can tell you I hated Warren, but that kind of goes without saying. For a favorite, I'm going to have to go with Oz - love the "trademark stoicism".

The girl was an easy choice, she's been my favorite ever since her "That's not where I dangle it from." comment to Giles in season 1.
