it’s still performing well despite a wide decrease in showtimes. At the domestic box office this very weekend, two days before streaming release, it still earned $7.4 million domestically, bringing its grand total to $669,384,065 worldwide.
It earned $7.4 Million on the weekend of April 5th. As of April 14th, 2 days before the streaming release, it earned only $4.3 Million on the weekend of April 12th.
That's after a week of making less than a Million every week day. It's entire take for the last 7 days was $7,026,860.
The amount of money it would have made in the US over the next 7 days without any other external interference was around $4.2 Million.
We're at the point where WB is going to lose about $10 to $12 Million Domestic on Dune if they were to pull it from the theaters entirely, but I see no mention from Bruce that this is a thing they're planning on doing.
It will be interesting to see how a streaming release would effect it as it ends the wildly profitable stage of its run.
