Numbers for Thursday haven't come out, but here are Episode 9's numbers for Monday and Tuesday.
Monday: $6,756; $36 per theater
Tuesday: $2,465; $13 per theater
That's got to be the first time since I've been tracking that ANY movie had done worse on Deal Tuesday than the day before. Does anybody know the exact day that the big theater chains shut down?
While that alone certainly doesn't look good for our little race here and almost obligates me to put an astrisk next to the Joker win, something else funny just happened in the last 24 hours too...
Episode 9's Total Worldwide Gross just inexplicably fell again, and this time it fell big.
$1,070,284,160... down from $1,073,798,941 just yesterday.
Seriously... does anybody have any ideas what is going on with the Box Office for this movie? That's now $3.5 Million+ removed from the total. With the see-sawing of unattributable additions and subtractions this movie has seen in the last 2 weeks, that puts it right about where it should be before they added the $4 Million dollars out of thin air in the first place.
As it stands now...

Episode 9: $1,070,284,160
Difference: $3,967,151
Its deficit just grew by 9 times. That's a difference it couldn't hope to make up in the best of times this late in its Box Office life, let alone while being crippled in only a fraction of the theaters that it should still be showing in.
Do you suppose with the Disney stock prices falling like a rock at the moment, people didn't want to be accused of obviously gaming any numbers?
Surely if a dumbass nobody like me saw all of that, somebody with a bit more clout did.

I'd say the Legacy Media has officially done a great job at scaring the ever loving shit out of everyone at this point.
Per theater average for last night was $3.
Joker never once dipped below $2,100 total in a night during its entire 23 Week run, and the lowest per theater average was $21.
I'm not even going to give the movie any more shit at this point.
On the contrary... I salute the brave young Jedi Knights who are saying Fuck The System and going out and seeing the movie despite all the warnings against it.
All 80 or so of them in the entire freakin' country.

Frozen II far out performed Star Wars.
I'll spoil Frozen II: the big difference in the two Frozen movies is that Princess Elsa is frozen in Frozen, while Princess Anna is frozen into an ice sculpture in Frozen II. Switching frozen Princesses caused the ticket sales to increase! Or maybe it is ticket price inflation.

Frozen IV needs to replace every white character with a different minority like they did in the Broadway production that confused the hell out of all but the most extreme woke people who watched it.
It's a small world after all. It makes complete sense that Asian sisters were born from a black father and a Hispanic mother in Disneyland!
Oh. And there is no prince either. Just princesses marrying princesses and they'll have a baby together anyway without sperm because Fuck You, We're Disney, that's why.

INTERNATIONALLY:
Also, I'm having trouble finding data on when exactly it was that we began allowing China to license and show Hollywood flicks, but I'm confident that wasn't happening in 1991.
The "International" tab on thenumbers.com only even bothers showing Australia and South Korea on the "Top 10 Territories" and throws the rest of the money in "Rest of World", so the data is spotty at best.
It's extremely likely that China is far from the only country that screens US releases today that did not (legally) do it in 1991 as well.
Knowing the Chinese like we do in 2020, they were no doubt showing this along with every other US produced movie in theaters back then and not paying any money for licensing fees and reaping 100% of the profits off of them. Who knows how much bootleg money was spent to go see Beauty and the Beast in China in 1991?
