Notes: I warn you now that this is not going to be a fanfic about the stupid mercenary named Jayne Cobb, who sometimes can’t even form a correct sentence.

This is set after “Objects in Space” but before “Serenity”.

There will be violence, language, etc. should the moment arise.

Yes, I know this part was short, but I will make up for it in the next one. Many, Many things are about to happen, so it will be quite a long chapter.

This is my first fanfic ever, so excuse me if it’s not exactly up to par. I hope you will understand that I will probably have some spelling/grammar/ etc. mistakes. Hey, I’m not perfect. The beginning is a little slow, but believe me the action will kick in soon.

He sighed heavily, reaching for the worn out cover on the dirty floor. He stopped, jerking his hand back under his stomach for continued warmth. Gorram thing didn’t even cover his whole body anyway.

I'm really curious as to where you're taking this. With all his lies, and not really being as dumb as he seems. Promises to be a GREAT read.

Mmm, what is Jayne up to and why is he so worried about? Hope he doesn't plan to turn on the Captain or crew but not surprised at him not being as simple as he plays himself. Be interesting to see where you're going with this. Ali D :~)

I really love this, I think you're going to give our merc some new depth. Course any Jayne fan knows there's more in his brain than he lets on.

I'm always glad when there's more people who can conjure that there's more to Jayne than 'brainless thug'. (You only need to watch the end of Jaynestown to see that, right?)

Great start. I did like the Showering!Jayne part, but especially in the context that he was "letting all his pain and suffering drown with the water under his feet." Intriguing. Looking forward to seeing where you're gonna go, and if you're going to expand on the Jayne/Kaylee thing.

Very interested in reading more of this fic. I wanna know what was wrong with Jayne's backside...tattoo, scar, brand? because I don't see Kaylee getting flustered by a naked man, and she ran away for some reason.

Hoping its not a Jaylee story but if it is I am still too intriqued about your Jayne so I will read it.

Loved Jayne telling Mal not to sneak up on him, then Mal saying it's his ship, no need for him to sneak.

Loved Jayne in the shower. OOOOO, go I love Jayne in the shower...And Kaylee surprising him. Nice.

good line right here: He had been standing in the same spot for over an hour in the showers, letting all his pain and suffering drown with the water under his feet.
