which i just finished watching at a friends house (and which, incidently, they're now playing again. i wanted to watch a second time through (maybe muted?) but my friend didnt go for it :P anyway, it was interesting. as an actual movie, it wasnt really great, but it was actually better then i expected (i was judging from mamoth) and there was more plot then i expected, and some interesting plot twists. i just felt like they didn't really make you care enough; I cared, but only 'cause i didnt want to see summer get her throat slit, i dont feel like non-fans would really have cared too much. also, there was a miror scene where they did some interesting things to her body (mostly in the chest area) which frankly i thought was QUITE unsettling; summer happens to be absolutely beautiful, so to change anything, even 'to better (impossible, imo)' it really just detracts.

Yes Chewbacca. The sasquatch of Star Wars fame. The poor guy has had only one acting job ever!and who wants to be known only as Han Solo's sidekick?Soooooooo my idea is simple. Why not use this poor creature's under appreciated talent to some long awaited use?Now we all know that a 2/nd serenity movie is still possible to date.and fact is that if one is going to be produced,WHO WILL TAKE WASH'S PLACE????.Several idea folk can i guess, but Little Richards woooo would just get him shot.Richard Simmons non-stop rant's and excessive flamboyance would get him thrown out the hatch. We all know about the peculiar habit of the actor formally known as PeeWee Herman. That leaves a number of avialable folk for the part, but Chewy needs to be brought up out of the abyss of conformity, and exercise his right to be DIFFERENT,to be RECKOGNIZED.Why not hire him to take wash's place.Besides,he is an expert pilot.Thats it.After much thought i've decided not to bring up the idea that Chewey and Kaylee will have sex in the movie, thus bringing forth an entirely new race called Kaybacca's that can then be formatted into a new series.I will leave that part out.But Chewy as Wash's replacement,i think is bliss. Please dont think im dissing oh Washie.he's from my neck of the woods and i really like the guy.Im not totally sure, but i believe one of the symptoms of Firefly withdrawel,is the totally outrageous and infantile abuse of a good thing-hmmmm maybe not.

Our new puppies are safely home after a long 7hr trip. We ended up getting one of Tora's brother also, nameing him MISHKA. They look like twins. Anyway, if you want to see a head shot of them, visit my website www.halgroveelkhounds.net, they are STECIN FREKI (under OUR BOY'S) & STECIN EMBLA (under OUR GIRLS). They are both so adorable and fluffy.

Middle of October now and it's about 42 degrees outside in the morning or late night. Got a roommate finally, Kj. Found her on Craig's List by her reply to my posted ad. She's been here only a few days but is a good person and good company. Her half of the rent is a help toward saving for a new used car. So living conditions are much better with life in here with me. Decided I don't want to live alone if I can help it. Ever.

Ok maybe some of you know this, but I was stunned. Today October 23rd is the 5th ( yes I said 5th) anniversary of the introduction of the ipod. I cannot believe those things have only been around 5 years. They are such a huge part of our culture now that it's incredible to think that they've only existed for 5 years...just had to share this :)

One of the characters for the Serenity RP has been sick, so I don't know when the next chapter will be up for Firefly: AU. Anyway, I've been doing good, even though I've been pretty busy with all the work I'm doing. I've recruited another Browncoat. A friend of mine really liked the first disc of the DVD, so I'm letting him borrow the rest of 'em. I don't lend 'em out all at once...makes me nervous. I have to get another box set. *sigh* And then some things are just blech. :bash:

Is there anyone here that knows what the symbol means. It looks like an eternity symbol, but there is a triangle formed out of three of the lines in the middle and the rest of parts of lines form a circl earound the triangle. You can find the symbol on a shirt on cafepress.com. Please let me know what it means

As was requested, here's the link to cafepress.com so you can check out the symbol and let me know what it is

Partly this post is a test, because I'm trying to figure out how this site works; but, partly, it's my attempt at starting some sort of Firefly discussion, so feel free to respond. Spoilers abound below! I remember seeing/hearing/reading, I forget where, that Joss made the pilot, screened it for Fox, and they *hated* it. Wasn't what they wanted at all. What they did want was apparently unclear, but Joss's attempt to satisfy was the train robbery ep, which was more of a traditional action piece, and IIRC was the first ep aired. When I heard/read that, whichever it was, I thought, "eh?" They didn't like the *pilot*? Of *Firefly*? Do these people have rocks for brains? Have they never seen a pilot before? I've seen plenty of pilots, and guess what -- most of them are really, really, *really* bad. Ever seen the "Seinfeld" pilot, just to take an example from a show that survived and thrived? It's bad. The timing's off, the actors aren't solid in their characters yet . . . it's not funny. How that show lived past its pilot . . . well, it has nothing to do with the quality of the pilot episode, that's for sure. The pilot ep of Firefly was *not* like most pilots. Every actor had a solid grip on their character; the interactions rang true; the timing was perfect. The story was fun, managing to introduce a fairly large cast in a fairly short time with a great deal of clarity, as well as having plenty of actiony stuff. The entire cast, with one glaring exception, seemed as though they had worked together for years and had the thing down pat. They were *good* -- with, as I said, one exception in the casting, and a couple of scenes that didn't really work. The only bit of miscasting in the entire thing ultimately turned out not to matter, because Mal shot that guy and dumped him out the cargo lock. The scenes that didn't work were Inara's scenes with her client, which needed to be either more or less graphic (the way the love scene was played was just . . . what's the word I'm looking for? . . . cheesy?), and seemed as though Morena hadn't quite yet decided how to play the character. But once she came aboard Serenity, she was right in tune. Also, the whole thing was just *lots* and *lots* of fun. What kind of knuckleheaded, braindead lice could *not* like "Serenity"? I'd really like to know.

I want one REALLY badly! I was thinking about having mine say "VERA21" I wonder if it's taken already? Anyway, I think I'll ask at the DMV when I go to get my full license three days! I wonder how much coin I'll have to drop to get a vanity plate? Well, that's all for now, Off to go thinking about the vanity plate I'll have to wait five or more years to get! JOSSISAGOD!
