A smart phone is a tool. Much like a cordless drill is a tool. I could use a screwdriver to put up drywall by hand, but I end up saving myself a lot of time and energy by using a cordless drill. Jeff Bezos’s employees live in misery. If they were enthusiastic to start the Revolution against the rich they’d band together in a union to squeeze more money from Amazon. But it is not happening. Even less likely to happen is the poorest half of Americans cooperating with each other to get the government to force Bezos to pay his employees more. Even less likely is Amazon employees burning down Bezos’s mansion to teach him a lesson in what is fair.
If the poorest half of America continue to act as individuals, not as a group, they will remain poor. As a group, they need to cooperate with each other every day, but it is hard to get them to even show up to vote once every 1,460 days. They need to put in a Revolutionary effort, about a thousand times more effort than voting once every 4 years, if they are going to change America for the better.
They could learn the most important lesson from the wealthy. The richest Americans act as a group inside the GOP (and smaller group inside the Democratic Party), not as a bunch of individuals. That is the secret to how the richest will continue to prosper. They learned to cooperate with each other every damn day of the week, not just once in a great while.
