Rain for today. But things to do. Time to donate my dad's old canning pot. I've got no use for it.

But today, it's freaking cold in my house. Bad news is, it's not any colder than it was the last two days. I'm wondering if my immune system is in overdrive or something and that's why I feel so cold right now. I don't feel sick or anything, but I'm absolutely freezing right now and actually kicked the thermostat to 66 which is higher than I've ever had it since I lived here.

You're still healing, SIX. Crawl under the covers and stay warm!!

You know what you need??? You need a dog! Something to keep you from watching Youtube videos!

When is your followup appointment?

Seems like everyone is getting rain except for us.

Got a lot late Nov and December, then the whole of January nothing to speak of, and nothing forecast for the first week of February either. If only we could do something about the weather!

Already had the follow up, but I've got another one scheduled for next week that I don't have to go to if there isn't anything wrong by that time. Until I get my realign, I can come in at any point for any adjustments and stuff at no charge. We'll see what happens.

I can't wait until this all heals though. It doesn't hurt anymore but it's all still swollen and it stinks and it's just a sense of general discomfort all around. I don't think they'd be bothering me as much as they do right now if everything was healed.

Hey Jack - not scolding ... or nagging ... just observing that when you smoke you directly expose all your mouth tissues to nicotine. Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, which means all your little arterioles that supply blood to the tissues clamp down and blood flow goes way down. If you could reduce your smoking some for a few days, your healing would be speedier. Your mood OTOH might be cranky!

I know...

I'm actually feeling a little under the weather today. Going to see how I feel tomorrow and I might see if I need to get some antibiotics post-op. I haven't bled at all today and the pain is virtually gone, but it smells like a sewer when I pull the things off and I'm feeling really damn cold again like last night. Woke up this morning feeling fine though.

I got all of my stuff prepared to mail now. Had to do a lot of paper work today. Maybe tomorrow I'll hit the post office and swing by for a script pickup if I need to and then just stay under the covers all day. I haven't been doing any strenuous work the last few days, but I haven't exactly taken it easy either.

Thanks. It's gone a lot better then I expected so far. Maybe I'll get lucky.

BTW, do you have a thermometer at home? If not, it could be a good, cheap investment in your health.

Yeah. I got one, but I don't have any of the protective strips for it and I don't want to get my nasty gums on it.

I don't feel feverish though. Not really all that sick, and not achy at all. My appetite hasn't been effected, and the pain is almost non existent. Just cold and a little worn down is all.

It's probably just the body healing, and I imagine a good loss of blood that I'm not accustomed to. Gave the dentures a little break earlier today and flushed it with a lot of salt water. Going to do that again now that I'm heading to bed. That seemed to help earlier.
