As I think about it ... a lot of people are conditioned to think of capitalism as a natural system - like gravity, it's just how things work. But that's what people thought of slavery back then - some people were just created by god to have dominion over all. It's just the way things were meant to be.
I think rappy is one of those 'religious' capitalists, with a belief that if people don't go to work for someone else, and as a consequence of not working for a boss go hungry (maybe even starve) - it's not PEOPLE doing evil to each other - it's just nature. Yanno, the big shoulder shrug.
He will never ever see it as a human choice, as slave holders didn't see slavery as a human choice.

Yep, that's true. The idea that it's all 'the way things are' and an undeniable truth That's what people certainly believed about slavery and feudalism and other systems with massive power imbalances, until of course it wasn't.....
