I can't figure out what Rap's point could possibly be. No, I've never listened to Rush's show itself...but is he somehow saying all the clips we've seen of Rush AREN'T Limbaugh, that they're made up by the "left-wing media" or something? I've watched a lot of clips of him over time, and those stand quite sufficiently on their own merits to show him clearly to be someone I wouldn't be caught DEAD actually spending time listening to. He has said the horrible things he has said. How would hearing more of him change anyone's opinion? The question doesn't make any sense.

Y'know, I can't even theorize now that I try. More Rush is just more Rush. I mean, it was kinda funny the way he'd treat some callers, agreein' with them to a point then shooting 'em down cold for a perceived left-ish comment. The most stomach turning stuff were the sycophants (Referred to on his show as Dittoheads) that just sucked up to him like he was some sort of cool celebrity or something. Yup, that was my point. "More Rush is just more Rush." Maybe he says some things sometimes that make sense, but how does that change that he's said abominable things...MANY abominable things...?

Yeah, because if you listen to him longer, the hateful, misogynistic, racist ranting has CONTEXT. Phew for that.

It makes perfect sense, dearie, because he does NOT say " horrible things " .
But thanks for proving my point all the more. Those who hate Rush the most, have no clue of what he really says. Because they DON'T listen.
Much of what he says, the method of his humor, is tongue in cheek. Those who listen for any extended period of time,( more than 1 show ) will eventually GET his style.
That's not saying you'll AGREE with him, but you'll at least be able to decipher when he's OBVIOUSLY joking, and when he's being dead serious.
I'll admit, after 25 years, his 'act' is wearing a bit thin. Not so much his message, but he's starting to sound, even to me, like a broken record.
It happens. Look at David Letterman. Dude use to be spry , funny and generally entertaining. Now ? He's a bitter, confused and angry old guy. It's sad to see him carry on like this. He should just bail now, and forget about making it to 2015.
