Thank you, AUNiska.
And yet it's just gossip, people talking, in which YOU engage.
Pretty sure this thread demonstrates how Rush has NOT reached the end of the road.

Yup, Chris, Magons. Pathetic attempt to make Limbaugh something he's not. He says what he says, end of story. His audience takes him perfectly seriously, except those who try to pretend "he's just joshin'", because to admit he's serious would be too embarrassing.
We can't know what Limbaugh actually BELIEVES; he says the things he does to pander to his audience, to make money. The fact that he's willing to say them, knowing how many take him seriously and that he's giving voice to what THEY believe, just makes him even lower.

The most 'human' side of Rush you will ever see IMO.

That was interesting, Chris, and totally puts the lie to the idea that Limbaugh just says what he says "tongue in cheek".
--"We believe that people, if left alone, will be free to pursue their excellence to the degree they wish." What kind of idiot would actually believe something like that, given reality, given all of human history?
--"Healthcare reform is based totally on regulating as many aspects of life as possible."
--Rich can afford healthcare just like they can afford a bungalow on the beach. "What's the difference? You're assuming there's some morally superior aspect to healthcare than there is to a house on the beach." That about does it for me; that's Limbaugh to a "T".
The rest was about Limbaugh's deafness. I was uncomfortable listening to Shatner talking about the tinnitis. I had a cherry bomb explode in my hand when I was a teenager, have a high-pitched tone in my left ear, have never heard silence since that day. Too close to home.

I don't have to listen to hours of Abubakar Shekau to know he's a hate fueled lunatic
I dont have listen to hours of Rush to know that he's an provocateur for the extreme righties in the US.

I would. So would our founding fathers. Lots of folks would, Niki.

Yep. It absolutely is.

Except that he's absolutely correct. There is no moral obligation to GIVE free healthcare to anyone. Just as it's not anyone's obligation to give everyone a free house, a nice car, a rolex watch... You can't, the gov't can't FORCE you to offer services for free. It simply cannot.

Might explain some things.

Rush has denied exactly no one of their rights. Petty and cheap shot at comparing him to the leader of a terrorist organization ( one which Hillary and Obama refused to NAME as a terrorist organization , btw )

Quote:It gives you some small insight into how fundamentally broken he is though, eh? Shatner drew him out with that sympathetic tone. Limbaugh is, after all, a very sad little man.

I'm sorry, AU.
I wish you lived in a larger world.
Seriously.
