Well it's raining once more. A very heavy rain in fact, satellite is messing due to the weather. I only hope that my wife's Filipino shows got recorded before the satellite went bad. It's my off day from work and I finished a couple of miniatures. Work is okay, it's the only place that I know of where the deers, skunks, possums , and other animals have their own fire department as well as a security force.

So, my last post was a horrifically long time ago...I greatly misjudged how long it would take to recover from my accident, and once I was no longer completely bedridden, how long it would take to regain mental clarity from all the drugs I was on. And so here I am, only today posting the final chapter to Crew, But Not. My life is back to a reasonable semblance of normality, though I still have a long road to complete healing. I'm not sure if I will be writing more fanfic in the near future...we'll see how the wind blows. Whatever happens, I hope never to have such a long wait forced on my readers!

Nevermind then... maybe I'll just write a fan letter to Joss for just... being a fan. You know? Anyone know the address?

I live in Korea and I was listening to the radio today and all of a sudden Jayne Cobbs' voice came from the speaker. "You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with till you understand who's in rutting command here!" I nearly died laughing. It was a commercial for the Armed Forces Radio Station here and it was saying that the Eagle FM (the name of the station) was in command of the airwaves in Korea. But it was so shiny for them to use a quote from Firefly and from Jayne of all people. Great stuff!

I heard about this site from a friend: shinybrit. She's relatively new as well... She also told me about some virtual firefly crew thing in the forums so I guess I'm gonna go and search for that now. =] Xie Xie, ~SevenSkies

Well I uploaded the first chapter of my fanfic about an hour ago and I must say I'm very nervous about it. Having looked in the blue sun room a number of times I realized that my fanfic will be lost as there is so much out there, more than I ever imagined there would be and they look at a number of different themes in different time lines its rather messy yet logical and shows real love for a show that has long since departed but never leaves our hearts.

Here is the bio for the character I play on the virtual firefly "The Book." I rent the shuttle. Further information on my profession can be found under my bio. ***** My Bio: Abbeygirl “just call me abbey” Age: 38 (rents shuttle on the Firefly “Book” for the purpose of Gaming - think of it as a mini travelling casino) ***Cortex Search: abbeygirl*** Birth Recorded: Londinium (38 years ago) No Educational Record Found. No Medical Record Found. No Military Record Found. Criminal Record: Expunged. No Current Warrants on File. Occupation: Gamer (Games Entrepreneur) – Registered with The House 8 years ago House Rating: 5 out of 5 (excellent) No Previous Employment History Found. Current Address: Unknown Other Useful Information: Not wildly interested in making waves. Able to blend into crowds easily. Knows Oram (also on crew of "The Book" - Doctor) ***** Information on Gamers (be nice, I made this up - not everyone is the Companion type): A Games Entrepreneur (aka Gamer) is responsible for operating an establishment committed to the enjoyment of playing games of chance, such as Poker, Tall Card, etc. The area where the gaming takes place is called a Gaming Pit (otherwise known as the Shuttle). The games could be high stakes - or not so high - depending on the venue. Gaming is a profession with over a millenia of history, dating back to Earth-that-Was, and is held in high regard in the 'verse. Having a registered Gamer on board could open opportunities to small independent transport ships that otherwise may be closed to them. Not unlike 'The Guild' who governs over the Companion industry, the Gamers' governing body is called 'The House' (The House always wins in gambling ). The House keeps reliability and honesty ratings on all its registrants. Last minute cancelation of scheduled games and no-shows may lower the Gamer's Reliability rating. Proof of cheating will lower their Honesty rating. A consistent record of such behavior could cause the gamer to be stricken from the House. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. Would anyone like to schedule a game? :-)

Well we are trying to sale our old house but no luck so far. The realastate agent we talked to said to remove the old carpert, which I am about to do. We did rent the house out but the renters were bad. I know here are some good renters out there but these people were not them. I would not mind so much that they did not pay rent of three months, if they had left the house in clean shape. Such is life.
