well, umm. here goes. I am capable of rearranging the fundamental building blocks of the universe in under six seconds with enough time leftover to move 30 feet. I am capable of manipulating matter and energy on a subatomic level by speaking. A mere flick of my finger is sufficient to alter the gravitational pull of the planet. I shelve physics texts under 'fiction' in my personal library! I consider the laws of thermodynamics loose guidelines at best! In short, I am grasping the reigns of the universe's carriage, and every morning I wake up, look to the heavens, and shout, "Giddy up, boy!" You may never grasp the complexities of what I do, but at least have the courtesy to feign something other than slack-jawed oblivion in my presence. I, sir, am a wizard, and I break more natural laws before breakfast than of which you are even aware! -Vaarsuvius, the ORDER of the STICK.

So, I found out just how many Canadians are stupid; aprox. 36%. And with that amount of people voting for the republi... I mean conservatives, we elected another presi... I mean prime minister last night. Where this country will be lead, I have an idea. And the sense of dread that I have... I cannot put into words. I just know that I am terrified of what this means; what the conservatives have said that they will do. Joe Clark said before he retired (paraphrase) "There's a reason why the new conservative party dropped the word progressive from its name." Well, some people wanted change, ignored Mr. Clark, and got change. And I really don't think that they know what it means just yet. But, they'll find out soon enough. We will all find out soon enough. The question is not if we're going to take some large steps backward. It's how many, and how often. I feel gutted.

So I was trying to do my part and loaned out my Firefly DVDs to spread the love and word, but I missed them so much. I have been slowly been getting them back and I just can't put into words how happy four hours of Firefly made me. I had a bad ear infection though so only hearing out of the one ear makes the surround sound pointless. blarg! But I have it!!! YEAH!!!!YEAH!!!

Just purchsed my second set of firefly DVD's. The first set got loaned out so many times I lost track of who has them. So now I got a set for myself..Been home this week with a nasty stomach flu so in between bathroom runs I watched the entire season again. Maybe I can get the tv into the bathroom....

Just found a Body floatin out here...wearin a red suit gotta pretty shiny Gun on his side...No cracks in the helmit...The suit is armoured also,it musta costed a purty penny...dont appear to be any thing wrong with the suit,Ounce we get the body out we'll clean it up and charge the tanks see if it will hold air...no need in throwin away a good suit now is there?...Evans said he wanted the weapon. Hmm...thats odd...there was a wanted poster for some girl in his pocket...I wonder what this guy was doin?...coulda been a bounty hunter I guess...wonder why he's floatin out here?...maybe this girl was more than he could handle...hmm seems theres alot of that lately. I was thinkin about that body and that ship trailin us...if that was his ship and somehow he got thrown out or maybe that girl made him get out somehow...well if it was his ship and it was still runnin when he left it that is why it was followin us...it was lookin for a safe place to land or another ship to dock with,thats what all ships are programed to do as long as they got fuel...hmm Think Im gonna back track and see if we can pick that ship back up if he abandoned it I could sell it for a good amount...and if that girl is still aboard she could be hurt or dead...

it was a Saturday and a friend rings me and asks whether I wanted to go to the cinema. "To see what?" I asked, "Serenity" he said "Why do you want to see that?" I asked "It's Amazing! It's based on a show called "firefly". I think it might be better than Star Wars" he said. "Wow, careful!" I said,(by my name you can see I'm a Star Wars fan)."Believe me" he said. Watched it, enjoyed it, got the series on DVD LOVED IT!,( It was then that it really hit home that Wash and Book are no longer with us) Now I'm an addict. And here I am. what have I let myself into?

A few weeks back, I showed my Mom Jaynestown and Objects in Space. She liked them enough to ask how hard it would be to watch all the episodes in order. So we set out, one episode per day, to watch the whole series. She made it without missing a day (and one day, she watched TWO!). Anyway, after it was over, she began planning how to get my Grandmother (Grammy) over to watch as much as possible in a single day. I turned Mom into me... "She needs to see Jayne being recruited. Oh, and the scene with Book's hair! Ooh, and the first scene of Our Mrs. Reynolds!" So now, Grammy - in her seventies - is in the living room watching Serenity. She laughed out loud when Mal said "Huh." upon finding River. She's laughed out loud MANY times. When it blacked to a commercial at some point, she said, "Is it over?!" Scientifically proven that Firefly, given the fighting chance it deserves, can appeal to EVERY DEMOGRAPHIC. *G*

Its official, I have fully become a complete and utter Firefly addict! It hit me so hard. I spent so much time refusing to watch it in my own silent boycott (I'm still not quite over the whole Dark Angel cancellation though), and yet only two episodes later and here I am perusing nothing but browncoat sites on the web. I'm not quite sure how it got to this point. I guess it was after I relented and allowed myself to watch the BDM last month. I mean, nothing special about it though, right? Though I admit Kaylees line about "batteries", left me snickering to myself for days. Plus I've been a Jewel Staite fan for years, especially after I saw her those times at Dragon*con. That must have been why I asked my friend to purchase the DVD set for me for my birthday. Now, one week and a few episodes later, the show has my mind fully entrenched and thinking "there's no place I'd rather be, since I found Serenity". Maybe it was the fact that they speak Chinese. After I spending so much time these last few years learning some of the language and only watching Asian programming, it was interesting to see an American show that shared my love of it. Or it could just be Jayne's line about the "chain of command" that pulled me in. Either way, I'm now firmly "out to the black", and I doubt if I'll ever come back. ~Tai feng le :blush:

:crap: Yep... as the title of my blog suggests I am none too happy with the new bandwagon that some blue sun posters seem to have jumped on. Seriously people :finger: what's with all the muppets. The first one (animal as Jayne) wasn't too bad but I think that's about my limit.:bash: Luckily the new chapter of The Fish Job was posted today and it's shiny.:smile: I'm guessing the next instalment (before the weekend :biggrin:) will have a great plot section with some wise cracking remarks from our BDH's.:blast: I'm about done for the evening (with my fancy UK timezone), but the rest of you... Today, I posted the first two chapters of my new multi-chapter fanfic "Family," and I'm wondering something. Chapter 1, which is pretty much all sex, has a ranking of 7; and Chapter 2, which admittedly starts the plot, has a ranking of 9. Why the difference? Is it because of the sex/not much plot vs conversation/plot beginning aspect. Is it something different. Or is it nothing at all--just me being a worrier? I am curious, and would appreciate any responses, as that will help me in writing future fics. Thanks!
