IT'S A FAMILY THING

A few weeks back, I showed my Mom Jaynestown and Objects in Space. She liked them enough to ask how hard it would be to watch all the episodes in order. So we set out, one episode per day, to watch the whole series. She made it without missing a day (and one day, she watched TWO!).
Anyway, after it was over, she began planning how to get my Grandmother (Grammy) over to watch as much as possible in a single day. I turned Mom into me... "She needs to see Jayne being recruited. Oh, and the scene with Book's hair! Ooh, and the first scene of Our Mrs. Reynolds!"
So now, Grammy - in her seventies - is in the living room watching Serenity. She laughed out loud when Mal said "Huh." upon finding River. She's laughed out loud MANY times. When it blacked to a commercial at some point, she said, "Is it over?!"
Scientifically proven that Firefly, given the fighting chance it deserves, can appeal to EVERY DEMOGRAPHIC. *G*

Lame profile, eh? I save my best writing for my stories ;-D Oh, and I'm an Okie (Oklahoma native, born and bred) which might be why I find it so easy to speak like the characters. I reckon I talk like 'em more often than most of y'all ;-D
