Gorram practise manager following the rules, I now have to wait till Monday to get antibiotics, I won't even have to show my toe to the doctor, I'll turn up, he'll say, 'you need antibiotics?' and write me the Gorram script.

Still, now 3-5 five weeks if the consultant wasn't lying.

I'm being brave and mucking out the tip that is my desk today. Have already found filing a year old. There are things living in there. Literally. I just found a laminated card of ticks that I was given as a teaching aid a month ago and one of them is still wriggling unter the lamination!

though, if i move there, then my mom's probably gonna follow me (and drag dad with her) because she wants to be close to her grandchildren...i keep reminding her that she doesnt have any yet, and when she looks at me wistfully like "i want grandchildren" my immediate response is "19. uh-uh, not yet."

Nellis is 300 miles south (in Vegas). We have NAS Fallon near. They have F-5 Adversaries, A-6's, Several F-18 Hornets, a couple f-16's (wierd having Air Force birds at an NAS), and a resident E2C Hawkeye. With all the joint training we see all manner of planes throughout the year.

And yes, the lack of humidity is good for the lungs.

well actually, zero...i just found these compact travel cocoons, if u curl up u can fit quite comfortably inside, and theyre pressurized and come with oxygen tanks for some reason...hm..where did these come from?

so RF u can come too if u want, there's a spare ^_^

IEP= Individualized Education plan. It's a 15 page legal document that details what services you provide a special ed student and what education, social, behavior, and other goals you will meet. Um sweety this kid is in a secured psychiatric facility. He's too dangerous to be allowed in a room with other kids and has multiple disabilities. He's no longer allowed on the special bus because he broke the windows out with his fist. Also, he's serious injured most of the staff... gotta love his teacher ( the twirp who caved to mom even though the kid didn't need the services) he gives mom what she wants, but he doesn't have to deal with the kid....ok rant over.

It was very sweet of you to offer help though FLT:)

That's the sort of program he belongs in. He needs to be educated and as he is slowly worked with the violence has been decreased and he's doing a bit better academically. I mean it's not like you can just dump him in a hole or something... and it's not the kid's fault he's mentally retarded and has cystic fibrosis and several other problems. Apparently he gets violent when he can't communicate ( which would frustrate anyone) and he's unable to talk so that sort of limits what you can do. I can't imagine not being able to move yourself and not being able to ask for food, water, etc and having to hope that people figure out what you need...
I'd start smacking people too

I knew it was coming and I still went crazy, it just had to be the cliff hangar! I was bouncing uround the house and getting raised eyebrows from the other half.

I really won't say anymore as poor people in the states haven't got there yet but tis good!

I was soothed by watching the mighty boosh but still can't wait till Sat, in the words of Yoda, I must learn patience.

But it's not really a skill I have, like book sharing (things disappear and then I want to read them and they're not there and it's all bad!)

I'm trying to find somewhere I can walk to work from (i.e. Northampton) but so far everything has fallen into two categories: Yuck or Too expensive.

I'm going to have to learn how to budget. Not been too good at that before. No more splurging on books, DVDs, hobb/ crafty goodies or food to cheer me up after a bad day. Sigh!

How's the fearsome man flu coming along Gee? I take it you've kept on at work, spreading your germs!
I've always believed that the more people you give a diesease to the quicker you recover from it!

lol - man flu getting better, still bunged up and ear ache but improving, knackered, there is a possibility I'm doing too much at the moment, OU course, a band, looks like a second and sports to come, having said that, I always feel lousy when not active. looking forward to getting back to some normailty, feels like a long 18 months or so..

I'm sure you'll find somewhere, takes time sadly but there is the perfect bolt hole for Ems hiding somewhere, these things always drag on, a bit like the day today.

Ems, I've been there, done that. It is worth cutting back on a few luxuries in order to have your own front door (and bathroom!)

If it ain't too cheeky, I have some good recipe recommends that work out on a budget - so no need to give up good food. (And anyone who can boil water can cook.)

Thanks for the offer, in a few weeks when I'm cooking on a budget I may well ask for these. They'd better be simple though as I'm not a reliably good cook (I have my moments but I am easily distracted by books/ TV and tend to burn stuff!).

i remember mary poppins ^_^ last time i watched that was at my boyfriend's house :-P his parents were watching it (dunno why, but it was on) and the theme music was playin the "spoonful of sugar" portion, and i started singin the words in andy's ear, and he wrenched his arm out of my grip and sprinted out of the room. i thought it was hilarious XD
