Hey guys. The bar's been empty for a good few hours but hopefully people will start to drift back in soon.

Having a tough time with the flat hunting. Too many weirdos out there (and not in the good fun way but in the scary, would need a lock for my door, kind of way).

Oh that sounds like such little fun Ems. Hopefully, you'll find something soon, my mate at work just found a place in quite a short time so there's hope. You staying in Leic or heading down to be nearer work?

I really ought to get back to work but enjoying a rare quiet day when I ought to be taking advantage to catch up a bit.

I'm trying to find somewhere I can walk to work from (i.e. Northampton) but so far everything has fallen into two categories: Yuck or Too expensive.

I'm going to have to learn how to budget. Not been too good at that before. No more splurging on books, DVDs, hobb/ crafty goodies or food to cheer me up after a bad day. Sigh!

How's the fearsome man flu coming along Gee? I take it you've kept on at work, spreading your germs!
I've always believed that the more people you give a diesease to the quicker you recover from it!

lol - man flu getting better, still bunged up and ear ache but improving, knackered, there is a possibility I'm doing too much at the moment, OU course, a band, looks like a second and sports to come, having said that, I always feel lousy when not active. looking forward to getting back to some normailty, feels like a long 18 months or so..

I'm sure you'll find somewhere, takes time sadly but there is the perfect bolt hole for Ems hiding somewhere, these things always drag on, a bit like the day today.

Ems, I've been there, done that. It is worth cutting back on a few luxuries in order to have your own front door (and bathroom!)

If it ain't too cheeky, I have some good recipe recommends that work out on a budget - so no need to give up good food. (And anyone who can boil water can cook.)

Thanks for the offer, in a few weeks when I'm cooking on a budget I may well ask for these. They'd better be simple though as I'm not a reliably good cook (I have my moments but I am easily distracted by books/ TV and tend to burn stuff!).

I'm off to see 4 more places tonight. Won't be back till late but will tell you the horror stories tomorrow (whether you want me to or not!)
