Hey ems,
really beginning to hate today, feeling groggy, sick , cold (didn't bring jumper and they've got the air con on damn them!), hayfever is sending my eye crazy and massively uninspired.

nope got nothing today
not even the prospect of going to watch Ospreys at the weekend is cheering me up...

Some idiot somewhere reconviened an IEP and now we are giving extended school year to a violent, profoundly disabled kid and it's looking like I will have to do it... so here's to 3 weeks of being battered and bruised and tossed around.

im good with getting kids to behave ^_^ experienced that with my cousin last summer, he's not violent, but he was...hyper spazz, among other things. i'll help ^_^ since im moving out there anyway lolz :-P

IEP= Individualized Education plan. It's a 15 page legal document that details what services you provide a special ed student and what education, social, behavior, and other goals you will meet. Um sweety this kid is in a secured psychiatric facility. He's too dangerous to be allowed in a room with other kids and has multiple disabilities. He's no longer allowed on the special bus because he broke the windows out with his fist. Also, he's serious injured most of the staff... gotta love his teacher ( the twirp who caved to mom even though the kid didn't need the services) he gives mom what she wants, but he doesn't have to deal with the kid....ok rant over.

That's the sort of program he belongs in. He needs to be educated and as he is slowly worked with the violence has been decreased and he's doing a bit better academically. I mean it's not like you can just dump him in a hole or something... and it's not the kid's fault he's mentally retarded and has cystic fibrosis and several other problems. Apparently he gets violent when he can't communicate ( which would frustrate anyone) and he's unable to talk so that sort of limits what you can do. I can't imagine not being able to move yourself and not being able to ask for food, water, etc and having to hope that people figure out what you need...
I'd start smacking people too
