Iraq is facing a radical Isis-led Sunni insurgency, with cities in the north-west under militant control.

The ritual cutting of girls' genitals is practised by some African, Middle Eastern and Asian communities in the belief it prepares them for adulthood or marriage.

FGM poses many health risks to women, including severe bleeding, problems urinating, infections, infertility and increased risk of newborn deaths in childbirth.

'Four million'

The UN General Assembly approved a resolution in December 2012 calling for all member states to ban the practice.

The Isis edict could affect nearly four million women and girls in and around the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, the UN warns.

But what makes headlines & drives Dem fund raisers here in the USA ? Phonied up ' war on women ' cries & mock indignation towards ' binders full of women ', which actually is an extremely positive & pro woman thing for Romney to have said.

For crying out loud Rap, do you always have to go there? In this case it shows you as not being able to differentiate between female mutilation and the Democrat Party. Jeezzzz...it just feeds into what the Dems claim about the Republicans. They just don't' get it when it comes to women.

.. when they were just another group of ragtag ragheads going back and forth between Syria and Iraq, Maliki asked, no begged Obama to bomb ISIS convoys and staging areas with drones and jets. Obama absolutely refused.

So now, the civilian slaughter, the female mutilations, the Christian beheadings, and the systematic destruction of Islamic shrines and mosques are ALL courtesy of Obama.
