Inara's baggage always made her an interesting character for me. But in light of certain "revelations" this quote takes on new importance in evaluating Inara's character development in what would come next in the series. And the forces of character development between her and Nandi.

None taken, Bytemite. I truly do admire Inara. I wish I had her class and manners (not to mention looks and wardrobe), but I'm somewhere between Nandi and Zoe.
You know, I think what I like about Inara the most is that in spite of her looks, class, position in society, etc., she's not mean or condescending to anyone.

While Nandi has her own allure, got to say Inara. The woman is just plain gorgeous and has a confidence and demeanor I find appealing.

I find Nandi more attractive. Now, don't anyone twist this into me saying that Inara is not a beautiful woman, because she clearly is, but Nandi is more to my personal taste. Maybe it's something around the eyes or the mouth or the way she carries herself, but I literally can't take my eyes off her when she's on screen.
I do not need the written code of a spiritual belief to act like a decent human being.

I came home and turned on the tv just for a minute and Nandi was on a commercial for CSI and Inara was on a commercial for The Mentalist, and they were back to back...
And I smiled...just for a second...
