If anyone hasn't mentioned it yet: Did this idea come from The Librarian, or from Lost Room, or did Librarian come from Lost Room, or, or, or...
I've been enjoying it, but not enthralled. Same with "Primeval". Moderately entertaining, both of them, for me. That's about it.

I do believe when they interviewed someone(s) about the show, the analogy that was used was Pete is a little brother tugging on his big sister's sleeve. Which, imo, really sums up their dynamic. Its also refreshing to here the creators and actors stress its a friendship instead of a 'romantic tension' route.
Redshirts was nothing but win, as was the whole tesla gun whilst in the back seat seat. The pantomiming and facial expressions were nothing short of hilarious, and the look on Pete when he suddenly realized what she was going to do was "Oh god she's going to do that?! We're gonna be in so much trouble!"
This felt like an aired-out-of-order ep, what with no Claudia and the tension between Artie and his Anti-Redshirts no present in past eps.
Good news! Warehouse 13 is officially the highest rated show in the 17 year history of SyFy and is getting a 13 ep second season that airs next summer.

FYI, http://tvbythenumbers.com reports that the show has been renewed for a 2nd 13 episode season.

I had to look up what "Red shirt" meant. I was never a Trek fan.
At least now I know what the heck they were talking about in the show the other night.

Bump!
This week's episode was a good one as well. Nice to see Myka - they possessed Myka, that is - looking a mite better than the real Myka. More relaxed in stead of the constant look of mild WTF?
If I caught the explanation correctly, the mirror was actually a tool used by Carroll to track the spiraling dementia of poor Alice.
Anyway . . . the ending was humorous when Artie said they had to move the mirror to the Dark Vault and Pete said, "Well, that's better than the Oy Gevalt!"
This . . . alas . . . led to another detailed explanation to my wife which took all the fun out of it.

I agree, Evil Myka was refreshing. And? Disco still lives!
The episode was really good. I loved how they showed a lot of team moments. Pete and Claudia are great as big brother, little sister during breakfast (I do believe they were playing some kind of video game) and there just was a sense that they all gelled as some big unconventional family throughout the whole ep. Doppleganger Myka was a nice change of pace, and Pete's reactions to her were hysterical (checking out her ass, his dazed compliance towards the making out, and finally announcing he knew she wasn't Myka because of said kiss).
Nice use of White Rabbit, as well as briefly mentioning the ferret. I laughed when Myka said she had named the ferret Pete because it was cute and annoying. It sums up nicely how she feels about Pete.
And Alice? Creepiest little girl ever.

What was that short series on (then) SciFi about a key which would unlock any door, and a room full of ordinary objects which allowed the holder to do amazing things ?
Anyway, seems kinda like they're playing off that concept a bit on Warehouse 13.
Joe Flanigan ( Lt Col John Sheppard - SG Atlantis ) guest stars.
The T.Rex they call JANE!
You are thinking of "The Lost Room" which was a short mini series and built episode by episode into an intriguing story. I really thought it was pretty neat. Never seen Warehouse 13 but I will give it a look when it comes on the Sci Fi Channel.

Anybody else really enjoying Claudia? Today when i caught up on the episode on hulu I really loved the Artie/Claudia scenes. She's not an annoying teenager, and she actually kinda reminds me of the Scoobies.
Sorry I'm so late getting back to this - I got behind on my WH-13 episodes, so didn't want spoilers. Now I'm all caught up again. I *LOVE* Claudia's character, and her interactions with Artie. And Mrs. Frederick, of course (I'd pay money to see CCH Pounder read the phone book, and it would be money well spent). But Pete and Myka just grate on my nerves. That is some first-class horrible acting right there.
I thought it was kind of soon to bring Claudia in as a major character, but I was HOPING they would when she showed up the first time. I'm glad they kept here, because she's a breath of fresh air for that show.
I did gain a little respect for the actress playing Myka in the looking glass episode, because she actually made an effort to do some actual ACTING, which was nice to see.
All in all, it's kind of a fun little show, but I don't really get the sense that there's a major story arc behind it all, and it's in no way anywhere near as good as something like Burn Notice, my absolute favorite "summer series".

Not a bad series; I give it a half a firefly. ;)
