Okay, i know some may not like TSCC, (Really there out there,) but if you love it, then this is for you. This thread is just gen. info, and talk by fans, for fans, of the messiah, and his Cyborg girlfriend/protector. If you haven't noticed by now, i'm a really big TSCC fan, i mean seriously, i'm obsessed with the entire Terminator 'verse. But esspecially of any John/Cameron relationship, or known as Jameron. Some of you might like to know, Cameron was played by Summer glau, who played River in the Firefly 'verse.

Dramatis Personae:

Sarah Connor - Lena Headey
John Connor - Thomas Dekker
Cameron Phillips (Connor to me) - Summer Glau
Agent James Ellison - Richard T. Jones
Derek Resse ( Dick #1) - Brian Austin Green

Now if you think TSCC sucks, it was the best new show in 2008, and best show in 2009, sorry but Dollhouse just didn't measure up to that level yet, but alas we will never know how that battle may have turned out, now that FOX (digital finger), cancelled it. JAMERON WILL LIVE ON 4 EVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my second favorite show after Firefly, and Summer Glau is excellent in it.. Brian Austin Green totally changed my opinion of him

Don't go calling people who don't like your show haters. I gave the show over a season's worth of a chance and it only had a couple decent episodes. Then it went right back to being mediocre. I'm not going to call you names for liking it.

It may have been the best "new" show of 08, but it didn't hold a candle to some of the awesome shows on, new or not, last year.

It started very strong (I love the pilot) and had some great stuff (John and Derek in the park at the end of S1 is my favorite Terminator moment ever), but it just went off the rails in Season 2. I just couldn't hang with it.

of course everyone´s entitled to their opinion.. I personally liked season 2 even more than season 1 except for a couple of episodes that focused a bit too heavily on Sarah.. I know it´s the Sarah Connor Chronicles but she probably is the most boring character because she never really changes. Could have used some more of Cameron and Derek but I still think the show was addictive and the best show since Lost season 1.. And also "Born to run" is the best episode I´ve ever seen of any series, what a way to end it.. I needed season 3 to start like 2 seconds after, but I guess not Fox

My opinion of TSCC is somewhere in between that of jameron and kwicko's. It was better than mediocre, sometimes very good, but it lacked the focus it needed to be great. It's as if there were two rival show-runners vying for control.

I have all the eps burned to dvd-r off television, and I am sure I'll watch it several more times (or at least certain eps), but it wasn't good enough to shell out money for the official dvds.

funny you should mention that, cause I think Friedman wrestled a lot with the studio for creative control.. and yes, it´s out 22 sep.. Already pre-ordered the blu-ray

Yeah, the "mediocre" comment is just a li'l thing I've got going with a few of the Terminator freaks around here. Truth be told, I found the series in its ENTIRETY to be pretty mediocre - but there were episodes and moments that were spectacular. It's just that it was so uneven, so ham-handed at times, that you could never just settle in and watch, assured of a good ride and a crackling story. It was hit-n-miss, and that's something that just gets on my nerves.

Now, in the spirit of full disclosure, I felt pretty much exactly the same way about Dollhouse. There's exactly ONE reason why I kept watching it, and why I'm willing to try it again for Season Two: Joss Whedon. Period. Had Joss been doing TSCC, I'd have given it more of a chance. That's not to say that I'd have thought it was automatically BETTER because Joss was associated with; it's just to say that Joss has a proven track record of delivering the goods, in my opinion, so he gets a little more leeway to take his time and develop his series.

But none of that is to say that Dollhouse didn't suffer from the same feeling of people behind the cameras wrestling for control over the show's direction and focus. It very much felt that way, and the show suffered tremendously as a result.

I'll watch Dollhouse when it comes back for S2, but I'm in no rush to buy the DVDs. Truth be told, I'd be MORE likely to buy the TSCC DVDs, because there's stuff there I haven't already seen (and I mean more than just one episode that Dollhouse viewers didn't get - I gave up on TSCC about midway through S2, so there'd be several episodes I hadn't seen, and I might end up impressed.)
