Anyone following ? I'm sorta kinda staying with the show, but not religiously. Anyway, for those who are, I'm watching the ep about the magical feather, and they're talking about the various artifacts. How some control certain things, while others might control other artifacts.

What was that short series on (then) SciFi about a key which would unlock any door, and a room full of ordinary objects which allowed the holder to do amazing things ?

Anyway, seems kinda like they're playing off that concept a bit on Warehouse 13.

Joe Flanigan ( Lt Col John Sheppard - SG Atlantis ) guest stars.

I started watching because it was Co-Created by Jane Epenson. I love her work, and I figured it would be a little fun since she is a Whedon Alumni.

I really like it. The pilot was a bit off, but I like the concept (though it's not a fresh one), the writing and most of the acting. There's a definite quirkiness and a point of the show not taking itself too seriously that I'm enjoying. It's hard for me to find something entertaining in a light comedic way nowadays, plus it's got sci-fi and action.

The only one flaw I've found that irks me is Joanne Kelly (Myka). In the pilot she was very unappealing, stiff, and everyone else just preformed completely above her level. Even though I can picture a couple of other actresses owning the part of Myka instead of her, she is getting better. I think she's not trying as hard and forcing it as she had in previous eps, plus the chemistry between her and Eddie McClintok (Pete) has really started to show through. There's been a lot of talk about how both of them were hired because they bonded so closely during auditions that the casting directors saw that they could bring the chemistry and become partners the audience could believe. So it's good to see that starting surface through the characters, particularly Myka.

The rest of the cast is stellar though, even the little punk girl they just brought on. Pete makes me chuckle so much because he's so obviously excited and enthralled to be working there. He's got this "This is so awesome!" look of wonder that's like a little kid at a toys tore that he does from time to time that is priceless.

Your Indian Pirate Lord,
Ash

Hot stripper chicks playing dicks. 2 in point of fact. That's all you need to know.

Moonlighting, with spooks.

At least they mentioned Tesla, but he only exists in SciFi, er SyFy.

It was called The Lost Room and the key would unlock any door but would transport you in a hotel room which was the lost room, and the objects did cool things and the guy had to find them to save his daughter

I've been watching since the premiere and like the show. The cast is starting to gel a bit better (though I think it was too soon too add another cast member this week) and the stories are flowing a bit better as it goes on.

Thank you! I was thinking it had something to do with 'room' in the title, but wasn't certain. In THL , didn't the user of the key have to use their mind to direct where they wanted to go ?

Anyways, I've been slack in keeping up w/ WH 13, and need to do a better job in catching eps.

I saw the 2 hour pilot, it seems like a cross between "BONES" and the "X-Files". I'm not following it.

Well, Eddie did play Booth's brother in the BONES series. Maybe that's it.

Oh, and the chick does come off as rather cold and sterile, at least so far.

I loved The Lost Room. I was hoping they'd pick it up and make a series of it, but SciFi being SyFy, of course they didn't... Still, I've got my copies of the miniseries that I burned.

I don't hate Warehouse 13 as much as I thought I would. At the moment, it might be the best thing on that network.

Just finished the pilot on hulu (that thing is dangerous!). The one good thing about being a SyFy original is I had zero expectations, and liked it well enough. There are some mannerisms that the main actor has that remind me of N. Fillion - similar kind of humor. I'll definitely check out some more eps... *zombie walk* I feel compelled to, must watch hulu...
