He screams against Hamas because they hate the Jews and want to kill them.
Then he supports Israeli soldiers having a "sub-culture" where they reveal in hating Palestinians and killing them.
Because that's like, totally different. Because they're like, an army. And an army is supposed to kill people, but when Hamas does the exact same thing (but only a third effectively) that's like really bad man.
Not that that is in any way a double standard.
The problem with the Israelis and the Palestinians is: They're too damn alike. They're the neighbours that don't get on because of some initial slight blown out of all proportion that neither can really remember; if they'd drop the escalating campaigns they'd find out they really actually quite like each other. The reason they're so murderously opposed is because they're so damn alike.

kwickie, i do apologize.
You ARE that naive. I had no idea.
The U.S. military does not teach how to " wound " its enemy. The message is clear. Kill him, or be killed. Sure, some PC crap might have been circulated around the Pentagon and for public consumption, but go to Paris Island, and you'll see they're not training to 'wound'. There are no artillery shells that 'wound' other tanks. They pierce the armor, and often .... wait a minute.... you ARE pulling my leg! No one is THAT stupid !! ha ha...good one. Ya got me.
Now your whole silly 'cowboys and indians' silliness makes so much more sense!
Funny guy, you.

That makes it nicer.

If 1/2% of a culture hates you, that culture is fair game. As long as it's a bad culture. And foreign-y.

This is what you support.

The hatred you cling to is beyond measure. Someone has to stand up for reason and justice. Count me as one of them. The good guys.

Heh, AURaptor's closest contact with the military is that Rambo marthon he watched, and he turns up here chatting about "military docterine", refuting Kwicko's entirely correct statements, with half wit idiotic statements. Now, THATS funny.

This is an entirely incorrect statement. NO ONE here has supported the actions of Hamas, they've opposed YOUR gleeful delight in child murder.
YOU however have come out in direct support of Israel, and everything it does. As such, by your own words, you support this:
This image shows Israeli children signing their name and "With love from" on bombs destined to be dropped on Palestinians. IF YOU were consistent you'd be jabbering about executing Israeli children, but you're hatred is only directed at Arab "towel heads" (his own term).

I'm sure we'll count you among those you emulate that came before you:

Adolf Hitler (1936):
I believe today that I am acting in the sense of the Almighty Creator. By warding off the Jews I am fighting for the Lord's work.
Quote:
Adolf Hitler speech before the Reichstag about Jews and international "warmongers," 4 May 1941:
But he who dares to use the word "God" for such devilish activity blasphemes against Providence and, according to our belief, he cannot end except in destruction.
Quote:
Adolf Hitler (1945):
Providence shows no mercy to weak nations, but recognizes the right of existence-only of sound and strong nations. …
This Jewish bolshevist annihilation of nations and its western European and American procurers can be met only in one way: by using every ounce of strength with the extreme fanaticism and stubborn steadfastness that merciful God gives to men in hard times for the defense of their own lives. …
We have suffered so much that it only steels us to fanatical resolve to hate Our enemies a thousand times more and to regard them for what they are destroyers of an eternal culture and annihilators of humanity. Out of this bate a holy will is born to oppose these destroyers of our existence with all the strength that God has given us and to crush them in the end. During its 2,000-year history our people has survived so many terrible times that we have no doubt that we will also master our present plight.

Go to Parris Island (correct spelling), and you'll see they're not training the U.S. Army for anything. That's a Marine Corps training base.
Supposedly we were discussing the purpose of the ARMY, not the marines...And you are correct - artillery shells don't "wound" tanks - that's why I referred quite specifically to RIFLE ROUNDS. Did you not notice that? A rifle round isn't going to "wound" a tank, either - it will bounce right off.
Maybe you should look into the Stoner series of weapons (M16 family) and see what you can dig up on them. Ever wonder why our troops are using basically a .22 bullet in their main battle rifle, when practically every other military is using 7.62mm (or 30 caliber)? It's because it's more likely to wound, less likely to kill.
Ask some of the soldiers coming home from Iraq; they WANT a round that will kill better, but that's not the goal. After all, as you yourself can attest, you can't torture a dead terrorist, right?

I said U.S " MILITARY", not "Army" ( as if that really matters - at all ) And to point out the absurdity of you claim of a army that "wounds", I specifically made mention of the armor piercing artillery round.
Other things not built to merely 'wound'....
Aircraft carriers
Cruise missiles
ICBMs
Abrams A-1 Tank
F - ANYTHING that flies
B - ANYTHING that flies and bombs
And the latest in line of Howitzers , the M777
It can hurl a 100lb round at 3x the speed of sound for 15 + miles.

Gee, I dunno, might have something to do w/ fighting in and around heavily populated areas, and they want to minimize the risk of civilian deaths ,and a smaller bullet might be about the only way that can be achieved in a combat situation ?

I didn't realize Vietnam was such a heavily populated urban area...
Or did you forget that the M16 came into service there?
