I will accept any rules that you feel necessary to your freedom

I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.

You got a problem with that?

I have no problem with that? Dudn't sound like it would make a difference if I did. But you're not talking about laws right, just non legal rules? like stay off the grass? or no slamming doors?

OK, Gezzer, sir. what was the last obnoxious rule you broke? Forgive my nosiness.

I reject your obnoxious trap-laden agenda here, and will not even legitimize your thread with a post.

Go get arrested, psuedo anarchist.

Hello,

Obeying tolerable rules and disobeying intolerable rules is a fair descriptor of human social behavior. Taking personal responsibility for one's actions is a mature position.

I laud your choice to live as a mature human.

Thought I recognized your statement as a direct quote. And I was pretty sure, quite a while ago, that I recognized the picture of your avatar. Graduation Day at Anapolis , wasn't it? Class of '33?

Hello,

You all got me curious, mentioning that this was a quote...

According to google, the quote belongs to a Starship Trooper who lamented that the Moon was a Harsh Mistress and that There Aint No Such Thing As a Free Lunch. Of course, researching on the internet can be as confounding as a Cat who walks through walls, and sometimes I feel like a Stranger in a Strange Land while maneuvering search engines that would test the patience of Job.

So is google right, or do I need to try again?

No, Anthony - I also determined the quote was attributable to Agatha Christie.

It was like that when we got here!
