Y2K was an absurd joke. Most companies had new or fairly new computers that handled it perfectly, as the 2000 date appeared as scheduled. I guess some companies that had computers with tape reels may have had a need to "get ready". Less than a week after Bush became President, Streisand and her devoted gang of planet Earth saviors was blogging and stating that Bush & the evil Republicans were poisoning the water and the air. Somehow none of us, hopefully, have succumbed to that dire prediction of water poisoning and suffocation. Give Gore credit...he has taken the abstract art of whiny, hysterical bitching by the ultra-elite liberal left to new, never-before imagined heights. He has made it a mainstream religion for all those lonely, wandering, lost souls who desperately need to have something to latch on to in common, in brotherhood...then ya throw in a perfect tie-in to the devil Bush and his dastardly minions to really get the eager legions of drones fired up, and then to top it off give the great charlatan, the new Reginald Van Gleason Gore ...give him an Oscar & a Nobel Peace Prize. That's the crowning achievement in this fabulous puppet circus...a modern Tale of The Emperor's New Clothes. Maybe they could make another Gore movie and cast Claire Danes and Leo DiCaprio together again and have them both die in each others arms from the really, really hot weather, or perhaps get eaten alive by a passing polar bear floating by on a detached North Pole iceberg.

I guess we'll have to wait 10+ yrs before you see that what's being called global warming is nothing more than the natural cycle of things, and not the catastrophe so many are making it out to be.
