Never saw, so can't agree or admit.

Quote:Exactly. That whole movie was all about the things that entertain complete losers.

Gosh!
Something kind of starts happening, but we're not sure which part of the 'story' matters in any way, shape, or form.
Cute girl number two. This one can act. She is the only one in the movie who can, and she has maybe three lines.
A few things happen that are vaguely related to things that sort of happened before.
Best moment in the movie. It involves gang bangers and no dialogue. At all.
Some sort of conclusion is reached and there is dancing.
There were several scenes involving Kip in which the size of his food would increase with each scene. In one case, while Kip and the other dude are talking at a local diner, Kip is eating onion rings, which appear to grow each time we see Kip. In another scene in which Kip is talking to Napoleon, the cheese on his nachos gets larger and larger with each scene. The whole movie is just about the things that entertain the mundane and uninspired. That movie had me rolling.

As a disciple of Kevin Smith, I have to disagree with the "anything Ben Affleck" comment.
Yes the majority of the movies he has done are awful, but you can't overlook the work he's done with Kevin Smith. Him and Kevin are like Scorsese/De Niro and Carpenter/Russell or Whedon/Fillion. These are two guys who really know each other, are the best of friends and can bring out the best in each other. Doesn't matter if it's a small part or a lead, Smith just brings the best out of Affleck.
Plus, you can't ignore CHANGING LANES or HOLLYWOODLAND. And don't get me started on GONE BABY GONE. One of if not the most amazing fucking movie of the year so far. I honestly think that he could possibly become the next Clint Eastwood. I mean, Clint was a big movie star at one point, his career kinda faltered with the two movies he did with an orangutan, and now he's considered one of the best directors in the industry.

It is funny how everything with Ben Afleck sucks but yet movie makers still try making films with him.

That's Hollywood for ya- It's because of the Screen Writers strike. They're desperate enough to put out all the shit movies that were on the back burner.
Even the ones with Ben Affleck

One sci-fi movie which people seem to have forgotten (and probably with good reason), which I nearly walked out of about 4 or 5 times, is Battlefield Earth.
Holy God, that movie was bad, which is a shame, as the book was quite good, and the casting was pretty good as well. It was more pointless than playing Marco Polo with Helen Keller (to quote one of my fave TV legends)

Chris:
The first time the bald female alien appeared in the Star Trek movie everyone in theater started laughing out loud. She was so silly looking. She got more laughs than the cow fetus in Firefly.
Maybe that is why Joss stayed away from aliens.

Actually I thought that bald alien in the star trek movie was sexy.

I am being honest. The entire theater broke out in a horse laugh when she appeared. I think it is the only time I have ever known that to happen.
