Canter down, Magda to go! By now they're both probably well in hand, actually.
I just started tossing my junk into my suitcase today. Whee! I'll keep the chocolate stuff (except the altoids) out for now and place it gently in my carry on Wednesday night. Thursday morning I put myself at the mercy of Continental again. I had *better* get in in time for The Vortex, dammit!
It's 89F and muggy here. We've got severe thunderstorms to the south of us, but patchy clouds and distant rumbling here. No rain, which is too bad as we could really use it. I think I may grab a beer soonish. Better not until kidlet is in bed.. he might have to tuck ME in. 
Actually, he likes tucking mom in when she's very tired or sick. It's about as close to pampered as I get, so mom likes it too.
I stayed home sick yesterday, then sick and with a sick kid today. We're both getting better. I can almost smell again!

Her mass email about her trip said she'd be landing at 10:15 Melbourne time, and it's only 8:50 there now, so she hasn't gotten in yet, I'm quite sure of it. There's a big difference between gone and unable to post due to a crazynutty work day. I'll never leave. I love this place too much, and all of you as well.Great news about Magda landing tonight. I think her flight lands at 10:55 PM. Jimi is as giddy as a school girl!
And more great news...I'm pretty sure Magda is going to come to Washington DC and stay with me for a day or so. I'm pretty excited to squire her around the nation's capitol. We will live out her wildest "West Wing" fantasies, except without Martin Sheen and Josh Molina...
I'm still here, I'm okay, and I miss keeping in such close daily contact with you all.
